This story began around the 13th or 14th of June, I saw Blazingtoys ad for if you had a team and wanted an ICS AK-74, you could get it for $250 shipped. I’d wanted an AK for a while, so I ordered one on the 15th of June. It arrived the 23rd, after being shipped out on the 19th, a little slow on getting it shipped out, but I didn’t care.
So then I get the gun. I have 2 model airplane batteries and a rather expensive charger, so I charged them up so that when I got the gun, I could solder the connector on and go within 20 minutes of the UPS man getting to my house.
I got the gun (UPS gets to my house at 6pm…so much waiting.), and I solder the connections (nicely, if I do say so myself) test them with an instrument, no interruptions, no problems with the connection whatsoever.
I set up my target outside, measure off 25 feet (WAS going to do a review), put up one of my good targets, and started shooting. *Shot only from included 1k of Stealth band (good quality, highly polished) bb’s, and used included hi-cap mags, and they were properly wound, I even went so far as to later test my 2 Star AK mags)* I noticed that the shots didn’t seem to go any faster than my lpeg shoots bb’s. I also noticed that shots would often miss. I PMC’ed it, and it didn’t even begin to do anything to a coke can.
So I contacted BlazingToys (will post emails at a later time, it’s rather nice out, so I’ll be outside soon). They said ship it back. I was bummed, but I figured I’d be able to write about how wonderfully Blazingtoys handled the situation, and had my fighting within a very short amount of time. Oh how ignorant I was.
Shipping to Blazingtoys (MI to CA) was $30.55, I have receipts. It was agreed that instead of papyaling money, I would receive a $30 battery (3000mah, 8.4v).
To begin with, I had told Blazingtoys that the gun would need to be shipped to a different address the second time, as I am currently upnorth.
So after lots of waiting, and several emails, I was told (by UPS tracking), that I would get my gun Tuesday, June 11th. The funniest thing happened though, it was going to my house downstate. So I contacted Blazingtoys, and they were less than apologetic.
So today my mom was driving up, so I asked her to bring it with here, she did, and this morning at around 11am, I opened it up. Damndest thing! No battery. I contacted Blazingtoys, and “Cliff Q.” told me he personally put the battery in, then the AEG.
*I had 2 people with me when I opened the box, my mom, and my nephew (age 15), so the fact that there was no battery is not disputable.*
Just think about that, I understand products can be defective, and mix-ups with putting items in boxes happen. But I will not stand for a retailer lying. When a retailer does that, I do not want to deal with him. If he can lie once, he can lie about the gun being new, or other things of that matter.
So I sent him an email saying basically the above paragraph, no response yet, telling him I’ll take the $280.55 he owes me, and I’ll send the gun back COD. I figure I could also report them to the Mass, or even CA. Attorney General (I’m 15, with my own credit card (approved user), but I’m not a jerk, so for now, I won’t.
So now I’m sitting here, without a gun (I’m sending it back, I’m sick of BlazingToys). I must say, I really tried to be understanding, I waited, I didn’t get overly angry at them, and I hadn’t posted until this final straw. So again, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
