Anyone see a trend here?
Congratulations, gunmen! I sincerely hope that you work at this place, because, since you're such a fucking tool, I'll probably never see the it. Oh well. I'll just take myself over to the ACO building in lyons. Darn, guess I can't call myself an airsofter! =\

Gunmen, let me say thanks for trying to broaden the horizons of Airsoft into a paintball facility. Like people have said before, paintballer's are normally not receptive to airsoft. If you do work there, great. You've made a great leap of faith.
Nows onto other things.... FPS limits are in place for safety. I would not play at an indoor place without them. They are established to make everyone's playing experience fun and safe. MiA has them established. My suggestion would be to follow what is already in place.
Indoor fields are great. But if you want to attract the Airsofter's, then the inflatable bunkers need to be replaced with structures (ie doors, walls, etc). Paintball favors more open areas. Airsoft is for those who want MilSim. Without tactical entry and strategy, most people won't play.
As for the 40 plus players, check out some of the Events before you make comments that are inaccurate. Most events average between 40 and 60 players. You don't have to play with over 40 people to be considered a real airsofter. Just going to event's and belonging to a team would qualify you for that.
This is a message board! People are going to state their opinions when a thread is created. I'm sincerely sorry if this offends you, but it's going to happen.

i really dont think that 20-40 players show up everyday... and let alone 10 players on a team in that place is too much... also i know airsoft isnt big in livonia, i really dont think its that big in wayne county. another thing i would like to add is that, even if you have 40 players chances are 3/4s have springer pistols or cybergun rifles. (i would love to see the rental guns) www.futureball.com/indoor.htm pictures being updated.

The reason I posted this information was due to the impression that you guys might be interested in playing airsoft at a local field to tone your airsoft skills, I was probally wrong. However, by looking at the number of viewers on this paticular topic, it might have not have been a total loss. No, I do not work a futureball but have been playing airsoft there for a couple of months now. My airsoft team (Warehouse Rangers) was responsable for talking to the owners into creating just airsoft player sessions. Our team has been continuing to promote and outdoor airsoft field under the supervision of FutureBall Inc. I am trying my ass off to get airsoft on the ground at the local level, because lets face it the paintball arenas have the money and support to create their fields. So lets show them paintball is not the only badass sport! I am sorry however if I offended any of you guys, but I am getting tired of pushing FutureBall to take further action. I need you guys to give some support...

Just saw this today and I could see this going in various directions. As one of the few who was able to play at summits airsoft "Urban Assault Field" I could see this ending up just like that. If poorly managed it is will fail. I got to play there twice before it closed, it was rather small but with the most people we every had there being 8 it was a lot of fun.
The airsoft portion was adjacent to the paintball field but they were clearly separate and you couldn’t see the other field when you where in one. This was good, and if futureball is planning to do that (and puts some rules in) I COULD see it having a chance assuming it was managed properly. However if airsoft and paintball are in the same section I am sure it will fail with the exception of kids with little springers and the like.
To me, it sounds somewhat promising however I wont be counting any chickens until they hatch.
On a side note, on their website they are construction a section for airsoft and I woundn't mind seeing if a game or 2 could be had on one of their outdoor fields.

So far we have been playing at the indoor arena twice a week for team practices. As a result more people became interested in airsoft and decided to join. As far as I know Futureball will not be getting rid of the airsoft sessions because they have a more higher attendence ratio than that of paintball and basically are making money. The arena is not upstairs it is on one floor but the are extending it for airsoft play.
A couple of months ago our team was invited to play a game of airsoft at Futureballs outdoor field, just the team. It was a blast! The outdoor field has villages, old cars etc. I understand you guys do not like inflatiables, neither do I, but I deal with it. Any field can be fun if you put your mind to it...

Thanks.

To answer some questions, the sessions of airsoft are seperate of that of paintball play. No paintball games or teams play when we play. Yes, I will not lie it is sometimes unstable. When my team shows up it's 15 AEG's roaring and a whole lot of fun; when they show up! However, on a bad day you will tend to find those with springers. I try to make the best of that situation by teaching and interacting with them. Like I said it is an overall place of practice and a chance to train two times every week. That is why I have posted to give everyone the chance to seriously train and have fun. Also the more people we get the more subdivisions of classes, and FPS limitations will be administered. I promise no one will get blasted with a AEG that shoots 450+ I also forgot to mention there is a 15 to 20 foot rule on AEG's and GBB's unless changes arise. Last Wed. we had a great turnout of 40 people and was one hell of a good time...

Yes, the indoor arena is the same field as used by paintball players (Inflatiable Bunkers Present). The outdoor which they are still working on will have a seperate fields just for airsoft.

Sounds interesting. Maybe I will come go there sometime. Right now my gun is in pieces... I hate putting on metal bodies, it is the biggest pain ever.

I've been to their outdoor field, and I think they would get a much better turn out if they got rid of all of the balloons and held an Op of some sort there. Their tank would be great, except if you got squished by it .
