Well I'm technically not the leader (I don't think anyone on our team is), but we would happily open our doors to anyone in the Northern region of Michigan (excluding the U.P.). Just PM Talisman or I and we'll set up a few games. If you would love to join the team, we'll gladly get you in. Currently, we have 4 local members. There are many outdoor areas available for us to play at with all types of Terrain. No indoor facilities (yet ;D). Even though we would prefer warmer weather to set up some games, we could do a few winter games. We have a nice size armory, but recommend you own your own AEG.
NOTE: Must be 18 or older and willing to obey MIA rules. Membership is $10 a month. NO EXECPTIONS, we do not play favorites.

Lmfao @ trauby....
Anywho - one other thing, is we require that you have a set of BDU's to join the team... if you wanna play with us once or twice, they're not required. And as of right now, we're not doing the 10$ a month... Maybe we will soon tho, since trauby seems to think we are!

just a little bumpage going on ;p
We're down to 3 solid members at the moment, since GK sniped xaos from us (kidding, of course - he moved). We still can get 4-6 players rolling, and we'd love additions. Toss Trauby or me a PM if you wanna play.. also, teams, if ya wanna play on different terrain sometime, give us a holler... we've got a lot of different land available.
I'll post the webby URL when it's done ;-p

I have a question, does team SBD mean team silent but deadly?

I have a question, does team SBD mean team silent but deadly? Yes, it does. How do I know this, since I'm not a member of SBD? I was a member of SBD, until I moved. In fact, the name was my idea.

I have nothing to do with this thread, but here's my take on the money thing and a few others.
SBD has been a damn good group of guys out on the field and I've played with them a couple times. Really good guys can't stress that enough, their not out to screw anyone with *fee's* or anything of the sort I can assure you.
Things the fee's could cover(granted I'm guessing):
BB's, everytime I see them they have a big ass ammo can of BB's for everyone on the team(and people like me who forgot to bring some:))
Prop's for any games they may be hosting
Field repairs etc
Web hosting of a site or something simular
Now onto the issue of you trying to get members to your team because it's *free*. Thats just not a nice thing to do in someone elses thread let alone a *good* team in this area. Doing something like that is bound to piss people off. So I would just suggest you don't do it. And on another side note as this seems to be full of, they are casual and friendly as most teams, if they weren't they would not have a good reputation.

I would like any more of this talk PMed to me or Tali and not posted here. Our team has a very good reputation. Heck, I've called myself out over wind before. We do not need this "bad rap" floating in in this thread.
I DON'T LIKE MY TOPIC BEING HI JACKED. I especially don't like someone telling us how to run our team that is not part of it. Currently we have no dues now since we only have a few dedicated members and they all pay for their own items. When the time comes for member dues, everybody, including me, will pay 10 bucks a month. This money will go in an account where a few select members have control. Now since you seem to have no prob with having no due fees, thats great. But here is why we will have member fees...
-When you setup a op, it costs $$$. Yes, you will make money off it from people coming, but that is afterwords. You need money to start to building props, fixing terrain, renting area of land.
-Since you pay a member fee, it is nice to know you are going to an op for free with the group.
-Just in case your gun breaks down, you can borrow a members with no rent cost This won't be a perminant weapon, but at least you won't be left out.
-Free bb's. Free green gas. Free chrono reading. Free land use. Free friendship. Free teamwork. Free workout. Plus multiple free items you'll get with just a 10 buck membership.
Keep in mind that the 10 bucks will go way farther than what it would take you to spend that amount. That means I or Tali might sometimes have to spend more than 10 bucks. You also have to earn our trust. Like Luke said, its bound to piss off people when you state such remarks as you shouldn't charge teamates. This is because you obviously don't see the rewards.
Charging money will also eliminate most players who didn't want to join in the first place, they are just in it for the ride. Charging money also shows a dedicated person to your group. Not someone who will leave as soon as he see's a better team.
I can go on all day about the benefits. There is NO dissadvantages. 10 dollars a month is very very cheap. Thats cheaper than any other sport including Curling (my favorite ice sport). In fact, thats cheaper than most other teams. So why must you anger me?

Jeremy,
Relax man.
Luke did a fine job of setting this person straight. Please understand the Trauby works midnights and has an extensive social life and REALLY LOVES AIRSOFT! If all of us had the passion of trauby airsoft would be lots more popular and there would be too many teams I have nothing else to say.
Just a quick note for you man, I was speaking with Devildog and you can look forward to much fun this summer with MTASC. The idea of a local team to assualt really has the boys in an up roar if you know what I mean I have nothing else to say. All in good fun and with the best interests of the sport in mind.
If somehow you take offence to my post just give me a call and we can chat about it via the land line. Follow the link to MTASC's forum (it's in my profile) and keep in touch.
Maybe we could make a trade..... Motown for me I have nothing else to say. Just kidding again. He is from Alpenis so it would be closer for him and he definately wants to be the leader of something I have nothing else to say.

Bumpage + update
Side note first tho : If some of the above posts seem out of context, there was someone posting extremely off-topic items in our recruitment thread, which since has been deleted... hence, why some of you may be scratching your heads right now ;p
Anywho! We're looking for 1 more person right now for membership, and anyone else that wants to play is more than welcome. Looking for a sniper/rifleman to complete the squad. As stated before, if interested, give me or trauby a PM and we'll set something up. We're back to playing about 2-3 times a month now that the snow is gone, so plenty of opportunity for you to get to know us, and us to get to know you.
