I got it off, I just took a break and tried jamming a screwdriver through the flashhider again and just ripping it off. There is still a stupid part of the barrel painted orange, I just took electrical tape and wrapped it around. It covers it up decently I guess.

Blow torch would have been more fun, but 'grats on getting it off. But there isn't a way of taking the rest of the orange with some chemicals?

Judge, if this was in person this is where I jump at you for mentioning the demon that is the glued on orange-tip. Right now it is a mangled heap of death, but it is still on my rifle. It refuses to come off no matter what I do. I am about ready to challenge it to Mortal Kombat. Also, yeah if I decide to keep the RAV I'll probably buy a shingle ,but if I dont I am not gonna waste $50. Man funny you said that, I could not get mine off either so I power drilled the place were the allen key goes in and took some pipe pliers to get it off. But at least its off. I dont suggest doing it my way but brutality is effectave at times

Hey Snikrot, does the flap stay closed on there for you? Just wondering as mine's a little iffy, but I figure it's the 8+lbs of ptw mags swinging around, I picked up some IBA buckles from Tactical Tailor that solved my prob but I'm trying to coerce my buddies to get otv's.

Mattyb - Aren't OTV's the same as IBA's. Do you mean IOTV's?
Snikrot - Just a suggestion, if you are a right handed shooter (pistol) and move your admin to the other side, and get a Serpa with a STRIKE plate, then you could put it on a downward angle (where the admin is right now.) It looks pretty cool with the Serpa like that, plus probably a lot easier to draw from. Other than that, it looks good.

Crazyrabbit- I was thinking about getting a serpa, I just wasn't motivated enough to go looking for a good quality one, You have a good idea though. I guess even though the pistol is functional and it's loaded for every game, I think of it as more of just part of the PC. But I will look into a Serpa.
Matty- I haven't had any problems with it so far, but I haven't actually field tested it yet.

Err well I thought IBA referred to the entire thing including armor and otv was just the shell but in any event I said IBA because TT sells IBA buckles (as opposed to otv buckles www.tacticaltailor.com/ibainterceptorbucklekit.aspx ) and I said OTV because Condor which I assume is the make on that interceptor sells them as OTV's. condoroutdoor.com/product.php?pid=119&xcSID=cf591da89f07f517edd0987f52dc8012But I'm pretty sure mine feels a little flimsy because of the mags. I wouldn't trust just the velcro and snap buttons to hold it shut during gameplay with all the weight on there. I probably really only need one buckle down at the very bottom where all the mags are, but I threw all 3 on there that came in the set. I haven't played with the deltoids (shoulder pads) yet but I have a feeling you might do it once and decide otherwise, I have nothing else to say. They look super sweet but they really restrict your range of motion, and worst of all I had a lot of trouble shouldering my weapon with the deltoids on when I tried it on. Maybe if you don't have a crane stock it works better, it might just be the large footprint of the stock on the vest so it doesn't want to find a spot and stay there. I'm just saying, as someone who loves to carry all sorts of useless crap into the field, even the deltoids haven't been justifiable yet, I have nothing else to say. Edit: Btw here's mine

Real TA-31 Matty? I tip my hat to thee if it is. I also like that radio on the blast belt setup, I think I'm going to have to give that a try now.

Real TA31? Pffffft, heck no. Maybe someday when I finish school and get a job, haha. However the bottom half of the mount for the red dot on there is a real Trijicon part, I have nothing else to say. I've got an acm ta01 but the mount was screwed up (I could get it lined up right but not repeatably taking it on/off without resighting) and I wanted the look of the fiber optic thing and had some x-mas $ so I picked up a g&p ta31. I've got a qd mount on the way, so if that works it's going on the g&p and the acm gets a decent mount as well so I can resell it.
As for radio on the blast belt, I wanted it off my chest but the way I have my mag pouches set up theres no room on my left side on the bottom, and I could put it on the back but then I can't reach very well to adjust it, so the belt is working well. Plus then if I want to ditch the IBA (too hot or heavy) I still have my comms. I'll have to grab some pics of me wearing everything sometime when I have a helper to take the pics.
