I'd swap the green flag for an IR or color one( my opinion). The rest looks kosher. Do you like the shoulder pads? I've heard negetive things about them.

I actually don't mind them at all. They just barely contact my neck and I don't get any real rubbing. I was going to get a full color patch with the APC, but SKD only had the reversed version. I'll grab one with my next gear order, right along with that helem cover. That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks, cqbr.

You folks will probably scold me on the positioning of my pouch but I just got this Condor vest in a trade. My theory is that if I have my mags right side up in an upside-down pouch I should be able to reload quicker. I do plan on getting more pouches to fill it out eventually when funds approve. That theory would make a little bit of sense if you had your pouch higher up. The extra distance your arm has to travel down to the bottom of those pouches and to bring the mag back up to your gun is longer than the normal motions you'd go through were your pouches positioned like the rest of mankind. If you do figure it out though, the .05 seconds you shave off your reload time isn't worth losing (What looks to be) a $20 PTS PMag. You'll learn your lesson once you lose a couple mags though.

Mag came free with the gun and in the pouch it is very snug, plus the elastic over (or under) the magazine. If they start falling then I will flip the pouch right side up. Plus I like to be different than everyone else if I can help it.

Plus I like to be different than everyone else if I can help it. I have a coworker like this. Dude does shit ass backwards all the time just to be different. If it works for you then I guess its all good, but you may want to already sit amd do reloads over and over with the mag pouch both ways, you may find there is a reason that everyone else does it the normal way... Wow, to each his own I suppose. My advice, you should put the pouch up higher just to see if it helps your speed. And get/make some dummy plate inserts to avoid gear slop, it doesnt look like you have any. Other than that nice PC, I used to have the same one and it was surprisingly well made.

A downward pouch orientation does not help speed, especially when the object in question will be brought upward to the magwell, unless a special reloading technique is also employed. The idea is to, clear, pull, and bring up mag in one fluid motion, a downward movement (to clear and pull out the mag) will break that into two motions.
Being yourself is one thing, but I subscribe to the pile theory in business. It states if someone has a bigger pile of money than you it is wise to pay attention to what they are doing and listen to their advice because doing it your way and finding out it's ineffective just wastes your time. In this case the pile of money is experience from military, police, trained civilians, and airsoft players.
If it were a FASTmag or something like that it would be passable, but standard mag pouches will not retain your mags upside down very well, they're not designed to counteract gravity and the forces of movement. We're not trying to be dicks and shoot you down, we just want to share our experiences and hopefully save you some time and anguish, and maybe some odd looks.
