Seeing as everyone has their 1911A1 or equivalent posted, I thought I would throw mine up for discussion. Just your standard WE 1911A1 with one mag. The other stopped working when the push on top of the spring shattered. Well here she is "Colt's 'Colt' Colt" Her name is Colt (or Ol' Reliable), her design is Samuel Colt's design, and I use her. I'm not a 1911 purist, but I must point out that Samuel Colt was dead and gone before the Civil War. John Moses Browning (JMB) designed the 1911. It was made by Colt (and ~3 others) for wartime production. When you talk to 1911 guys, JMB is regarded just below God and Jesus (sometimes jokingly, sometimes not )

It's a 2 year old stock SOCOM Gear! (Notice the WE stamp on the trigger guard.)

Did you sand that down or was it chrome originally?

She took an aircraft paint stripper bath, fine sanded down and then polished. No chroming involved

Some pretty funky looking stuff Miles. Is that something you use at the field, or is it more of a wall hanger? I assume you use it given the fact that you have spare mags, but was just wondering.

Yeah, it is a Western Arms Gigant. It's basically a rifle based on the WA Prokiller 2011 so it has FA capabilities. I could skirmish with it, but I prefer not to.

That looks really good Ike. How was the fit and finish of the Guarder kit?

I didn't install it myself so I can't say too much, but it was basically installed by the previous owner and then left as a collector's piece/showpiece. So when I got it, everything was still a very tight fit and it needed to be broken in. With a little bit of grease and some sanding it's just about perfect now. It fits tight. yet it cycles about as smoothly as you can ask for. The finish is great, definitely comparable to, if not better than, the Shooter's Design slide that was on my old KSC USP Compact.

Cool.
I am not fan of a guarder kit, but it yours looks quite nice. How is she cycling? Any internal upgrades?
