Alright, I'm working on a new project.....a spring AR-15 It was so sexy *wink wink* that i had to mess around with it. So, what I'm working on now is Painting it, its in the process of drying right now and I'm about to go back to the garage, and this time wear gloves after getting my hands all green/brown etc. ill have pictures tomorrow. (If done) (BTW: I didn't know where to put this so i put it in the trusty old Off-Topic section)

Why on earth would anyone care that you are doing this? Yes, some people might like to see pictures, but absent those, this is a totally useless thread.

I believe that Psychosis and Zorak are trying to tell you that your thread is not contributing any useful information about painting an AR-15 ( ie, innovative methods or materials used) and it does not request advice from people who have had previous experience painting an AR-15. There for, your thread is just as useless as me stating that I am posting a message right now on MiA. Do you see my point? Most MiA members who contribute regularly on the boards do not appreciate pointless nonsense cluttering up the forum. EDIT: A good example to a thread that contributes information on the topic of painting, is supafly298's post about his AK. miairsoft.proboards70.com/index.cgi?board=gallery&action=display&thread=1150489230You see that its not just a post with pictures in it, but it also contains a link with info on how to paint your AK to look like it has real wood furniture. And it also tells you a little bit about his experience so far. Helpful to anyone who might want to do a similar project. Hope this helps you understand what all the fuss is about in your thread.

>.> well when i get the pictures up *looks at camera without cord* i was hopeing for feedback on how to do it better.... my tecneiqe involded a can of primer, dark green no glossy finish and brown same thing and can't forget the scotch tape....and yea, i understand about that whole nonsense thing, but when i find the cord, this thread won't be so useless anymore. Sorry everyone but my room is kinda messy so its taking me a bit longer to find this thing.
(EDIT): and if you want i can tell you how i did it so far right now till i get the pictures up.

Thank you Merrick for that concise explanation as to what was wrong with the post. It was polite, well written and helpful. +1 for you! Anyways, back to the topic at hand. I for one would like to see your pictures thomasd as I have been searching for inspiration in painting my gun. I haven't decided on colors yet and want to see what seems to work. I look forward to seeing you post them, and am off to read the thread Merrick posted.

Not too bad. I probally wouldn't have painted the entire gun, kept the mag and receiver black, but thats just me. You might even want to try and add a third color in their like a light brown or tan. What is the other color exactly, is it green or gray? The camera makes it kinda hard to tell.

Its good and Bad. I like the colors although you should get another color on it like a Dark Green or some kind of brown. And the green almost looks like its in stripes, easily fixed if you have the 3rd color, notin big though. I shouldn't be talking though because i am horrible at Camo Painting. All in all its pretty good.

Its is actually very good. When you show a pic from a little bit farther away the colors blend nicely togethor. Good Job *Thumbs Up*
