I picked on of these baby's up about a week ago and have been very pleased with it. I have had a version one M4 in the past, and i will say its much better. It preforms just like any other stock TM gun, except the new hopup design seems like its a little more accurate, and it doesnt come out of that "sweet spot" like the old hopup did. The first thing i notice on the Replica is the stock, 6 position. I enjoy the new look and of course love the six positions. TABS! The new tabs are a lot thicker and seem like they are made of a really good plastic, at first it seems like they are metal. One piece barrel, the one piece is outstanding, NO barrel wobble whatsoever, but the ony thing you can expect is the body flex, which is pretty typical. The new body on it is somewhat darker, but not in the pictures. In real life even at a close look it looks black, which i like a lot Enough of this talk, heres the pictures! (not photoshoped, taken with a Canon Rebel XT.) Thats it, the trades are the same, and i just threw on a silencer. Another thing i would like to point out is that it doesnt have that CHUNK! sound when its fired (without silencer). Overall im very pleased with it, i would give it a 8/10 because like any other stock TM gun, it doesnt shoot hard , and the stock could be a little more snug, but its only small things that are hardly noticeable.

TABS! The new tabs are a lot thicker and seem like they are made of a really good plastic, at first it seems like they are metal. They are metal. It's plastic coated metal inserts. I'll snap some pictures of S-System's tabs later, which are the same inserts as the new V2 M4A1 and you will see the metal starting to peak threw from me opening and closing the upper to much to swap out between my stock and tight bore and cleanings. I'm starting to wear the plastic off the inserts I have nothing else to say

Can you take a pic without the hand guards on. i held one at AEX today and it didn't seem to have a true 1 piece barrel.......Pwoeredge USA describes it as an "All in 1" type barrel.

As promised, here is a picture of the Marui version 2 style tabs. This gun is the M4 S-System but both the S-System and the new M4A1 use the version 2 style upper. rare.ncats.net/~wmdsm/crap/marui_v2_m4_tabs.jpgAs you can see after a while the thin layer of plastic will wear off the metal tabs and silver will start to show threw. I've had this gun apart so many times and I've never had any problems with the new tabs. The tabs run high up into the upper so they can't pull out either. Seems to be some type of spring steel so they will most likely never break either.

anyone know if TM is going to update the whole M16/M4 lineup with the new tabs and barrels? If i ever get around to buying a new AEG, I don't want my Armalite decision limited to the standard and the fully railed

Is the hopup unit a COMPLETELY new design then?
Does it look any different from the old one, or just seem to perform differently?
