They don't use a standard AR-15 upper. The LZ puts the buffer/sprint assembly over the bolt carrier, if I remember correctly.

Updated Pics... this time I added a extended outer barrel. I also extended the inner barrel & it ends just about 1/4 inch under the outer barrel. So now I get better range. Ice... as far as craftmanship it's a pretty solid AEG. I've read in other forums that if you compare this to the G&G model it beats it all over. The finish on this is very nice & smooth. No burrs or mold marks. The trades are very nicely done. I beleive it's silk screened & not stamped. The weight with batteries on it is very nice & hefty. The stock locks in place with no wobbles. There were a few thing s that I thought was really no big deal. When I got the package I had to tighten some screws. Also the charging handle is a bit tight since they kept the plate that simulates the breach. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when people upgrade to a metal body they loose that plate & the functionality of the trap door opening when you rack the charging handle. So now the trap door is always open unless you change the posistioning of the spring to always push the trap door in a closed posistion. Other than that the AEG shoots true & straight, shoots at a 370 fps & is very solid all around. I would get this versus the G&G model. -Gonzo

The dust cover is present on some metal bodies and not on others. My Hurricane Bushmaster body has it, my Hurricane HK body does not.

My Marine Corps HurricanE metal body retains all the functionality of the charging handle, faux bolt, and dust cover.

I can tell you from personal experience that G&P bodies lose the functionality of the dust cover, though the faux bolt will still be moved by the charging handle.

You're right zorak, the ZM uses the same gas system that the new HK M4 uses, its enclosed keeping the gas out of the chamber. Anybody whos been in the military knows after a few hundred rounds how much the @#$^#@@$%&!#^&!#$@#%^*!# AR series sucks. This new system doesnt do that
