I rigged my mask up for night games, to see where I'm going, to see maps, and to scare people shitless.... Funny story, my brothers has an 05 silver ado, someone tried jacking his mirrors, because they are heated, have turn signals, auto tilt, they tilt when u put it in reverse, they have a sun block for when sun starts setting, so it doesn't blind you, and lights in the bottom, so you can see to open the door... Someone ripped his mirrors off, broke one so left it hanging, stole the other one, so i took his turn signal LEDS out and rigged them in my mask.. I have nothing else to say... bright as hell, shines about 15 feet without a problem, because they are meant to be seen during bight daylight, and the mirror had a tint on each led to dim it even and yes, i can see out perfectly, no glare or anything.

Sweet, so you just basically took the lights and glued them on?
I would (if you could) switch the lights so they would shine a different color. I don't remember if RED is the easiest or hardest to see at night. I personally love light blue. A lot of stuff I get has it in it (skateboarding/snowboarding wise anyhow).
Sweet, but how do you turn them on/off?

Yes, just glued them on, and my finger points to a switch, hard to see it though. MY paintball teammates all have blue led's and it blinds our teammates at night when they look at them, so i want red. Red is what is usually used at night for map reading, that's why i wanted the red. You see aircraft carriers using red lights, soldiers carrying red lights, etc. Blue is bright, blinding, red is nice light, bright enough.

Very cool, but what would happen if the lights get shot? Edit: Just a thing you might want to try is get very close to people with the lights off then hit the switch and watch them run. ( Then pick them off as you please.)

I have nothing else to say, yeah, that would be so funny, my eyes glow and stuff, so scary loooking, my body turns red too.. wohoo... im jsut gunna be like *click (flips swith on)* BOO!! and pick up the guns that they dropped and shoot them. I have nothing else to say.
The lights are tucked up there good, they will hit the visor and deflect off, Unless im looking up, but they are pretty strong, I think they will hold, if not, it will take a good 7 direct shots to knock them all of... and in that case, melt the glue off, and buy some other ones. haha.

Beware, hot-melt glue like what you got on your mask there tends to loosen and drip in warm temperatures. Considering the heat this summer, and the fact that the glue is going to be close enough to be warmed further by your body heat, I would recommend a stronger/more heat-resistant mounting method.
Other than that, I commend you on your reuse of discarded parts. Sure, you could have spend $10 at Radio Shack buying hi-power LEDs, plus time soldering them together - but this is better.
The color red is best for night vision. In theory, once your eyes are used to the dark, a red light will not disturb this. Red also enhances contrast, good for low-light navigation. If you're trying to blind someone, quick blasts of green or blue-white light is best. Red, even bright red won't do much except startle the unprepared. Protip: When attempting to dazzle someone at night with a bright, pointed light source, close one eye so that your own night vision is maintained in one eye while the other recovers.

The red looks a lot better than blue would, and it's scarier ;D! I've been thinking of mounting a normal flashlight onto a PB mask. Nice mask!

I have nothing else to say, Well, put it this way, If rains, melts, breaks, I'm out about 5$ maybe... wires, and a 9v battery, i got the other stuff free... and... Thank you all for the good comments.. Well, it worked out really good, i was refereeing, recording at night yesterday, and the red light made my orange vest light up, and the yellow stripes reflect, It was pretty cool. It worked good, I didn't get shot because of it, but i had fun making my teammates run away from me, I'd click it on, they would be like oh shit and dive into a bush. But, in all reality, it's for a quick look at a map or something. And, it was nice for cleaning up at night, my stuff was scattered everywhere, and i left it on my head, and i could clean up easily. Thanks again guys
