Yes the ones I saw were for real steel so they were metal. I saw a hand ful at the gun and knife show and I was BLOWN way that they were 80.00 fricken' dollars!!! Thats obviously why I made one out of a extra carry handle. Yes this is one of the rentals for the OP. D.G., and its been rented out. No all the stuff is on the right way (both aim piont replica and rear sight).

Yes but the red dot (Aim point) wont be on it. It will have a high cap and battery and the flash light on it of cource, but the ready mag will be taken off also. Just less stuff for me to worry about getting broke or what ever.
Plus the TM M4A1 in the back ground with the R.I.S. system is down right now due to gear box issues.

Perfectly fine with me, and if someone get's a hot gun I would let them use it even though I rented it (Of course if that was up to me). But anyways, awesome gun you have there. When I had my M4A1 I wanted that M500 Flashlight Grip? on it, I think those are really sweet. That setup is very nice. Did you use a spare carry handle, or did you buy Hook's one that he was selling when you picked up his gun also?

Its the carry handle that came with the gun, some one else bought the carry handle he had.

Crazy, I did the same thing with my m4 like three days ago. I'm happy with mine.

Yeah, Im diggin' the looks of it so far. And there really isn't a difference between that and the carry handle still being attached. Im debating on doing it to a couple other guns too, I never use the carry handles any way.

When I looked at yours this weekend, you did a way nicer job than I did with cutting it from the rest of the carry handle, but then again....you can only do so much with a Dremmel on a real steel carry handle.

Yeah Mine was Plastic. So it made it way easyer. I plan on doing it to a couple other ones too. I will be using my dremmel. Hopefully it wont be too bad.

With the right tip it isn't to bad. I just left a little to much of the carry handle on there I feel. I might have to work on it more and see if I can get it more round, and then paint it.

What kind of paint did you use? I didnt use any due to it being plastic.

It looks like real Army SF camo paintjob. Unlike, the stylistic ones commonly found in airsoft. I think you should use some stencils.

Here's a pic of mine, although I'm not sure you can see it very well. i3.photobucket.com/albums/y88/NileFox77/mygear2.jpgAnd I just used regular Krylon (is that how you spell it?) The gun itself is getting ready for a paint job since I'm buying a new primary weapon. The new gun is going to be a heavy machine gun since I'm such a big guy. And I've always wanted a nice paint job since my gun is starting to get all scratched up.
