Here’s a pic of meh leet Glock 18C. The previous owner (snip) had installed a metal slide and in turn the slide was scratching the bolt, it looked horrible. So, remembering how Frostee removed the black paint on the bolt of his SR16 I decided to get some sand paper and have at it, it turned out great, the bolt is nice and silver and the writing on it are still perfectly in tact. The end result is one neat Glock 18c, now I just need to buy a new slide and get rid of this scratched up metal slide.

Hmmm, what gun does that remind me of? Oh yeah: www.pbase.com/image/8633450 ;D Looks good though Viking. Did you apply a clearcoat or anything to it? Mine started to oxidize and discolor after awhile, and I bet a spray of clearcoat would help to keep it nice and shiny. Oh, and leave the slide as is, it adds character.

You haven’t seen how bad the slide is trust me. The only difference in yours and mine is my barrel is still black. That’s a good idea though on the clear coat.

Very nice, I had been considering doing that to my glock for a while since I don't like the look of the black wearing off on the top of the barrel. Just didn't know what it would look like:) See ya
