Here’s a pic of meh leet Glock 18C. The previous owner (snip) had installed a metal slide and in turn the slide was scratching the bolt, it looked horrible. So, remembering how Frostee removed the black paint on the bolt of his SR16 I decided to get some sand paper and have at it, it turned out great, the bolt is nice and silver and the writing on it are still perfectly in tact. The end result is one neat Glock 18c, now I just need to buy a new slide and get rid of this scratched up metal slide.
Looks good though Viking. Did you apply a clearcoat or anything to it? Mine started to oxidize and discolor after awhile, and I bet a spray of clearcoat would help to keep it nice and shiny. Oh, and leave the slide as is, it adds character.
Well, I was in the sanding mood so I ended p sanding off the paint on the entire slide. Jacko and I are now proud parents of twin Glock 18Cs. I still need to clean it up a little around the selector switch and polish up the metal but none the less I think it looks leet... oh wait, that’s cause I’m in the picture.
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
