Thanks for the words of respect, Tex. I spent a lot of time in "cold weather environments" (Alaska, Germany, Michigan) and as such I know a little about winter camo.
I'm hear to soak up knowledge and give it out too. Take it easy all.

White coveralls are pretty cheap. If you are under snow, it helps a ton.

Wow snyper, thanks for that amazing information. We here at MiA are truly honored and appreciative to have your amazing intellect here on the forums, I do not know what we could possibly do without your in depth knowledge of winter camouflage!

I know this is a mildly big ressurection but I thought it would be helpful for those purchasing winter camouflage. The camo that Crazyman was talking about I saw at a outlet. I cant remember. We were looking for cheaper ammunition because we just went hunting and we still go to the range, anyway. Its pretty fricken nice camo for any budget. Its reversible to the German spotted black on white to a "blizzard" white which I am assuming is full white. I think im going to grab a set. Not bad for 40$. I saw the German Mil. 2-Piece Reversible Camoflauge for only $40 for top and bottomsSpecs:Winter concealment starts with this 2-piece Reversible Snow Camo Set. Rugged polyester / cotton top and bottom slip over your clothes almost effortlessly. Reversible with Blizzard White on one side, Snow Field Camo on the other. Top has: drawstring hood, 4-button front, elastic cuffs and one 6 1/2 x 7" two button chest pockets. Weighs 18 ozs. Pants have: drawstring waist, tie string cuffs and two pass-thru pockets. Weigh 12 ozs. Machine wash / dry. Made in West Germany. I think that this and a black/white shemage would be kick as.

Cheap idea I always had but never got around to: Just buy a white painters suit (can't be expensive at all) and wear warm clothing underneath. If you wanted you could paint/dye a bit of a camo pattern on or just random blotches to break up your profile. Plus with a vest, gloves, kneepads and a holster, it'll look pretty bad ass. But as for real camo, Alpenflage always tickled my fancy (tee hee) That's what I was going to do. If you get some the the polyester one's they don't breathe very well, so it will keep you warmer than say a cotton one would.

It could get bad though, if your body can't breathe well, it tends to sweat, and sweating when it is so cold out, could be bad.

Here's how to dress for snow games or being outside in the cold in general..
Layers..
I wear 3-4 layers under my snow camo. I have the german stuff that rabbit showed.. It's very effective and with the layers, I'm always fine.

Also, don't wear cotton. Since it soaks up your sweat, instead of carrying it away from your body, you'll start freezing when you're out of the action. It's better to wear something along the lines of an UnderArmour or fleece, which will not only keep you warm, but whisk away your sweat.

Wool stuff isn't a bad move either, but after seeing how well winter camo blends in with it's envirnment at the SFOD rec game, I can easily say that it is for sure needed if you want any sort of concealment.

I know I was STOKED yesterday, to get to wear mine.. It's so cool looking and I only get to wear it a couple times a year.. What a shame..
We need more winter games or something!
