I need help on getting a new gun. I'm thinking about either a TM SPAS12 from www.wargameclub.com or a CA MP5-SD6 from www.wargameclub.com or maybe a TM MP5-SD6 I'm not too sure. Any ideas? My last gun was an AE MP5-A5 and recentley broke. Thanks. Wow now I just saw a cool FAMAS with a silencer... I'm so confused I dont know I want them all!!! What would the better buy?

I think that the SPAS 12 can sometimes get encumbering, the barrel is very long and it is hard to shoot from behind cover. I think a great alternative is the new Benelli M3 Shorty. The power is the same, and it is ~$30 cheaper.

If you are looking for an SD6 get mine! (just kidding). I think that the MP-5 is the best overall gun. I wouldn't suggest a FAMAS, it has a ver. 1 gearbox (slow rate of fire), and a silencer can only be custom fitted. It also has an unattractive body and a mean magazine release (6-8 seconds reloading time).

Get the FAMAS, its an awesome gun, sure its a bit ageing in design but you will be unchallenged in ROF and its just so bad ass looking, specially with all these SD6ers around.

Ed, your posts continue to amaze me. The FAMAS has THE highest ROF of any stock AEG, a silencer can be added VERY easily, using the KM Tokyo Marui Famas Silencer Adaptor. The "attractiveness" of the body is subjective, please don't state personal opinions as fact. The magazine release works very well after you become accustomed to it. (I doubt a rifle with a "mean" magazine release would be the standard issue assault rifle for an entire army.)

sickpointe, that would truely be formidable weapon, and would easily out perform the TOP m60 as a squad support weapon if you wanted to go that route (well, not sure if I would use a silencer if you wanted to go support though).

Hmmm I like assaulting more, WWW.AIRSOFTSHOP.COM has a FAMAS SV for 191$ and a 5$ upgrade to 350 FPS and a 10$ Upgrade to 400 FPS! I'm takeing that. But I also want the silencer and a fore grip like on a PDW.

Yes I do remember. I wouldn't really recommend going higher than 350fps, anything more and it will really effect your ROF and gear/motor life. Also remember to factor in shipping costs from overseas when comparing prices. For an AEG from HK, you are looking at about $50-$60. So that puts your $190 FAMAS up to about $240-$250, the same price you can get it here in the states. (But you do get a free battery from Airsoftshop, so that makes it a pretty good deal)

Yes and then I would need a new discharger (I allready have a charger) and the silencer stuff. I heard Airsoftshop AEG's are broken a lot when they come, and they make you pay for shipping and the work spent on the gun. Is that true?

Because its shipped through the mail there is a lot of room for the possibility you will receive a broken gun in the mail. It’s not just prone to Tokyo Mauri guns. All guns have the same chance of being broke during the mailing process. More people buy TM, its by far the most bought brand of gun out, so its more likely for more TM guns to be broken though the mail, this is just common sense, if there’s more out there, there is more chance of a mishap.
Wow I just washed the dishes and my fingers are all slippery weird like, its interesting trying to type, wheeeee.

Airsoftshop is by far the best airsoft retailer I've ever dealt with, Eddie's service is always fantastic and best of all he replies to any emails you send him within 24 hours. (unlike some other places :-p)
As for damaged packages, It's pretty much the same no matter where you order from. So far the things I've ordered from HK turned out better than things shipped from the US. Sheesh...my Glock18C from Airsoft Atlanta came with a FIST sized hole right in the box, I was VERY surprised the extra mag I ordered didn't fly right out.
So in the end its up to you, look around..find the best price and enjoy!
