hehe@Minky
Checked the auction out for myself. The gun has a reserve price of $300 so there is no way in hell you'll be getting it for $117.

Well normally there's no way of knowing what the reserve price even is. But this time the guy told us. LookySince when is the XM-177 rare anyway?

It's rare cause nobody buys it.
Go with an M4 (like everybody else).

Yeah you would be better of just buying an M4 its more common wich means more upgrades. i've never seen an upgrade just for an xm177. But you see theme all over the place for an M4 so just buy an m4. well its up to you.

Accually the M4 is just a short version of the M16A2 with more upgrades. The XM is just a short version of the M16A1. I have a M16A1, and there are some upgrades for it. And remember that the M4 is $30 more.

Ed do you know much about who still uses the XM177-E2? I'm pretty sure SWAT uses it sometimes (Ala Rogue Force) and I know that armored columb personall carry them too.

To my knowledge (I'm probably(!) mixing this up with another gun) the XM-177 was never put into full production. The guns the SWAT teams are using is either the CAR15 (probably) or M4 (new and more expensive).

I'm pretty sure the X177-E2 isnt seen that often anymore in the real world. It was developed after the shortcomings of the CAR-15's used in Vietnam. Personally, I view the XM117 as a stepping stone to the development of the M4 series.
