I own an AK-47s, which, shooting wise, is completely stock. I used this gun at the last battle(Op: Snow Fox), and at the peak of the day I took out 6 guys in one game. out of the box this aeg has above average accuracy and extreme consistency. I have found this aeg one of the most realistic aegs with a great deal of metallic parts, this gun is well worth the cost, but don't take my word for it, look at this review(comparing the stock AK to the stock G3-SG1): www.redwolfairsoft.com/ak_dragunov.htm . For anyone thinking about buying one of these fantastic AEGs, heres a quote from the article: ""The AK47 series are the most accurate AEGs "out of the box" from Marui. The hop-up mechanism is precise and easily allows you to adjust your shots into straight projectiles. While we were not able to perform precise target testing for this review, we did perform a simple "backyard" test where we fielded the stock AK against a stock G3-SG1 at shooting a STOP sign from 50 feet (at an acute angle that made the target area quite small but with no wind). Judging from the "pang" sound that was emitted from each hit, the AK47 nailed the target 9 out of 10 times while the SG1 only achieved 7, demonstrating the long-range effectiveness of this fine AEG. The high accuracy and the high potential for upgrade are the principle reasons why the AK47 is so attractive for a sniper project.""

it's kind of ironic, the real Ak-47 is considered to be a cheap, but reliable, piece of crap. Lower muzzle velocity, rate of fire, and range than most assault rifles, not to mention less accurate. It went out of service With Russia when it was replaced by the 5.45mm AK-74, which was more like but still inferior to most NATO 5.56mm rifles. In some countries you can buy a used Ak-47 for $50. WOW, I regurgitated all this information in just a few minutes. I should be a freaking gun historian.

I doubt many consider the AK47 a piece of crap. Cheap and reliable, yes; and extremely well put together.

As one gun expert put it "the only people who use AK-47's are revolutionaries who cant afford m-16's". An AK has half the range of most NATO assault rifles. It's designed to be an assault weapon that any one could afford and any one could use.

No.
In 1992, full-auto Ak47s were going for 200 American dollars in markets throughout Africa.

In some countries in the middle east you can buy a used ak-47 for $50, an m16 a2 or a3 has twice the range of an ak-47, and the a1's range is still superior.

No, all AEGs have the same range when it comes down to what is noticable while skirmishing. Accuracy can be affected by the length of the barrel, but unless you are comparing the mp5k with a G3, you will most likely not notice that either. All stock TM AEGs use the m90 spring, so they will all have comparable range.
