the fuse is gone (hard connection), work done by airsoftshop. The charger seems to be working. The charger itself gets warm.

I did the old "spare Christmas tree light" test and the battery barely has any charge (barely lit the bulb). I guess, it just wasnt charging long enough.

how big of a battery did you order? 4 1/2 hours fully charges my 1500mah... if you're using the standard mini charger...it's 350mah per hour you charge it. soo...4 hours should have you at least 1400mah in that sucker...more than enough to turn over an AEG motor... hrm...
try deep cycleing it...charge it overnight....discharge it til it's empty...then charge it again....then try.

Do you know anything about the chargers from airsoftshop? It is a newstar charger, but I dont know if it has a discharge feature. If I plug the battery in, but leave the charger unplugged from the wall, the light on the charger comes on, but I dont know if that means anything.

I am running the standard 8.4v 600 mini. I charged it all night and there is no difference. I am thinking the battery just isnt getting charged. The battery isnt even warm.

I guess it is possible they sent you a non US charger. I have never really messed with one of those cheap chargers, but make sure it is set to the correct wall voltage. Usually it will be printed on the charger itself. It should say something like "Input Voltage: 110V".

Sounds a little odd that Eddie would let something like this go through. At first I too thought it might be the fuse, but since it's removed that rules it out.
Your best bet would be to send Eddie an email explaining the problem, I'm sure he'll be more than happy to help you out.

When i ordered my gun from airsoftshop my battery did the same thing. Its not the charger you probably just have a bad cell in your battery. I ordered a new battery from airsoft extreme and it worked fine.

Thanks for the info shpinx. I will look into that. The charger has a US outlet adapter, and there is a fuse in the charger, but it is not blown. The input voltage options on the charger are 117v and 220v. I have never heard of a 117, but I am assuming it may be just something lost in the translation of things. The charger is set on the 117v input and I have tried to do a normal and a quick charge and neither has helped the battery, so the battery could be the problem. I am lucky enough to also be having ISP problems, so that is another story. Anyway, I am still waiting for a reply from Eddie and will let you know of the status asap. Gonzo, we may be doing business pretty soon. Thanks all.

all, Eddie said that if I am charging an 8.4v battery, to set the charger to 9.6. Since I am new, I just though I would ask if this souned right/ok to do. Thanks

That's kinda odd if your battery is a 8.4 volts then you need to set the charger at 8.4 volts. If you have a 9.6 volt pack then you need to set it for 9.6 volts. Don't know why he wants the charger to be set on the higer voltage. Very odd.

That's what I thought, but I am just going to try what he says, that way if it doesnt work, I will have a better chance of him replacing the battery.
