If you're gonna upgrade, I'd go with an M100. The M120 is overkill in my opinion, especially since without some other upgrades like a longer barrel, you're still going to have to get closer to people than if you had a rifle. For a general purpose AEG, I think 350FPS and less is just about right, and an M100 should put you right around that mark. As for an FTK....in my opinion you don't need all the stuff, especially when you could save quite a bit of money and still have a somewhat durable gun. Pretty much the overall view in the airsoft community is that a basic spring/bushing upgrade will last a good while, but once you get up past the M100 range you have to add a few more parts in to increase durability. My advice: Get an M100 or less (such as a PDI 140 or 130%) spring, metal bushings....that's about all you need really. If you wanted you could get some better gears, or a piston head or spring guide with bearing. With this stuff your gun should last a while if you take care of it, and you pay much less than buying a FTK. Oh, and a scope....on an MP5? I'd go with a red dot sight.... *edit* I forgot to mention the barrel extension! I guess if it's a look you're trying to achieve, then you will like it, but it won't do anything to help your range or accuracy, and it will probably just get in the way. If you want to buy it in order to put a longer inner barrel inside, then I can see it making a difference, but for the cost of that outer barrel you could get a nice silencer and hide an inner barrel in that.

i don't see how you can determine what upgrades you need after only one or two skirmishes...
and i seem to remember hearing that your MP5 was an ICS...you've already got an better than an M100 in there.

AH! If Bigmack's right and you have an ICS, then you don't really need an upgrade yet, not to mention that from what I've read it can be a real pain to get upgraded internals working correctly in those guns. He's also got a point about waiting to upgrade...I forgot to touch on that, even though it's usually a standard part of my rants

M100 is 350-360 FPS, Bigmack, unless...I'm thunking funnay.
The ICS that I own shoots 320-ish, his goes a little faster since mine broke and I opened it a couple times...hehe.
I wouldn't recommend any upgrade, seeing as his gun already shoots a little slower than my 360 fps M4 and faster than the other stock guns in NSAG (http://newman.proboards4.com).
EDIT: Mike, your ICS is better than a stock TM. In the long run, your tappet plate will probably break, but maybe not. Your FPS is way higher than a stock TM, and the metal body definitely helps.

I hate to be the first one to say this on these boards (at least I think I'm the first), but....do a search! ;D Hehe. Really though, the amount of info we have around here is nothing compared to what you can find at a bigger site such as www.airsoftplayers.com or even www.airsoftohio.com . Look around on those sites, and you'll find plenty of discussion about ICS and Marui, as well as upgrading.

depends what you're deciding on.... ICS guns haven't the best durability record.... but they come stock with a better spring...a 150%, i think.... and more metal on the gun....
TM's have the better durability record...sooo...decisions are on a person to person basis...i think you'll find that most everyone on these boards will go the TM way, though.

i think an M100 is in the 330-340ish area.... 350 seems a bit hot for it, to me...i could be wrong, though... dammit...i wish that goodes.org calculator still worked...

I had the full tune up kit put in my MP5 (ICS even) with the m100 spring, and all that good stuff. I put about 1000 rounds through it, and its great, no problems, its good. The thing about ICS is, yes, the tappet plate will probably break, and after a while, the trigger will get soft, but those are pretty easily fixed.
