I just bought an MP5 A2 and was wondering what are some good first upgrades for the stock gun?

Your best bet is to leave it "stock" internally until you see how your playing style develops and if you can trust yourself with an upgraded gun, but if you want cosmetic upgrades, theres the whole gammit of scopes, suppressors, flashlights, lasers, etc...
I would say if you didn't get one when you bought it a sling would be high on my list, and then a few extra standard capacity magazines:o and something to carry them in, after that maybe a red dot sight or something, but unless you play indoors a lot, then the lasers and lights are just extra stuff hanging off your gun.

I would reccomend you start out with a 3 point sling, and a few standard cap ;D mags. From there, after a few skirmishes, then, like what mike said, scopes, lights, internal upgrades, etc.

you could always go with hicaps though. Unless you want to be totally realistic. If you're on a budget, you can carry more ammo for less money, and less space

Plus with hicaps you gain what i like to call "The Hose Factor", I have nothing else to say I'm gonna have to agree with these guys and say to leave the gun stock internally while you're just starting out. As for external mods and add-ons, you've certainly picked the right gun! The Tokyo Marui MP5 series of guns has probably the most after market parts available out of all their other models.

Well if it's an MP5A2 I'm assuming it's a Classic Army or even Airsoft Elite gun, so your internals are already slightly upgraded and the FPS is already higher than that of a stock Marui MP5. I think you're ok there. As for cosmetic upgrades, get whatever your heart craves!
