This is my first AEG purchase, and I am just looking to get a general consensus. The K has no stock... I would like to have a stock. The A4 is a lot more than the K, help guys!

I'd go for the A4 just because it'll hold a large battery which will really come in handy when playing in longer events or when you decide to do some upgrades.
Sure the K is nice too so it's really up to you. But if you say you want a full stock then it's better you save up some more and just get what you're really after.

A4. as Hado said, that large Batt comes in handy...and so does the increased accuracy over the K.

bigmack, Voss never said that he wanted a stock to hold a battery, he may have just wanted it for support while he's shooting, or for looks. And i own the PDW, the stock helps tremendously in accuracy. I see you don't own a gun without a stock, and i'm not sure if you've ever skirmished with a gun without a stock. But it is a lot easier to line, up under fire, a target at mid-long range with a stock. So it may not help with the bb going where the gun is pointing, but it can and will help where the gun is pointing relative to your target. This isn't meant as a flame post, just a counter debate incase you swayed voss from the gun he might be happiest with . Voss, you should go with what you think looks the best and will suit your needs. We don't have a set place to play at yet, so you don't really know what kind of area you'll be playing in most. (we know eachother and have played once or twice) If you think you'll end up upgrading a lot, you'll probably need the larger battery. But if you plan on keeping this gun stock, the battery doesn't make much of a difference, except how long it'll last, and you can always buy 2 or 3. I know you're on a tight budget, but if you want a more expensive gun for whatever reason, you should save for a little longer so you're options are open. And if you then decide to go with the cheaper gun, you'll have a little left over for some more accessories or an upgrade or two. do whichever you will be more satisfied with and chooses based on you're needs as a player, and not based on money. If you can come by 400 for a K, an extra 30-40 for an A4 shouldn't be too difficult. Just mow a few more lawns or whatever you're doing for money.

400 for a K? where do you shop? I have nothing else to say nah, i'm just an accuracy fiend....i have fired an MP5K...it would *not* be my weapon of choice, by far. personally, i just find any automatic weapon with under a foot of barrel highly offensive... *shrugs* Guess i'm just too attached to my SG-1. like i said...accuracy fiend.

Sigh who keep letting these people in here? Jdl I’d be careful who your praise newbie around here friend, Biggy prolly has more field time then you have even thinking of airsoft. And 400 for a K? Where ever this guy buys from, Salty, stay clear from, it’s a total rip. Try MD airsoft (bigmack I'm too lazy to spell a full word out. Please mock me. support link) or airsoft toys: www.airsofttoys.com

1Xmp5 pdw....................................=220.00 1Xstandard 50 rd mag...................=25.00 1Xhicap 200rd mar.........................=37.00 1XTLP intelli charger/discharger.....=65.00 1Xadaptor for charger....................=7.00 2X8.4 v 600 mAh battery................=30.00x2=60.00 1X0.20g Excel BB Bag (3700) ........=16.00 subtotal.........................................=430.00 That's from airsoft toys, a reasonable, if not cheaper u.s. retailer, and without shipping. I got mine for less because I bought a cheaper charger and bought mine at a gun show from WTS-mike so i didn't have to pay shipping or MI state tax. All of this stuff is neccassary to skirmish, except the second battery, but if you're concerned about battery life, than you would probably want 2, so they would last as long or out last a large battery. And contrary to popular beleif, changing the battery on the k/pdw is not that difficult, when you get used to it or get a system of keeping all the pins together and in the right place. Only 2 fairly big peices need to be removed (stock/buttplate, and foregrip). And yeah, if you're "an accuracy fiend, than a few inch barrel might not satisfy you. But hey, we all gotta start somewhere right? man, i'm starting to feel like dumboRat jdl_9th a.k.a. Jeff ;D

Ach, screw the discharger/charger. I never use one, I just use "el cheapo" 5 or 3 hours wall chargers. Discharging, you ask? I use a radio with two prongs sticking out of the "insert adapter here" slot. ;D Only 6 hours discharging, and in my opinion, safer on the battery. And...don't buy an extra lowcap magazine! You already get one tiny mag with the gun, no point just buying another little one. One hicap will supply enough ammo to get you through a game...or two...or three. Or you could be like me, and just use two locaps in all. It works just dandy. ;D

I say don't go for a cheesy hi-cap, an extra low-cap may do good like Newman, two locaps can last pretty long. The charger would probably be good, I have the intellipeak charger and it works just dandy, charging only takes like 15 minutes, I also only have an AK stick battery. Edit: Oh yeah, this was about K versus A4, well, A4 will provide little better range cause of the barrel, but everyone has one , I say go for what you think is good, not us, a more accurate gun does not make a good player.

Salty I would have to say that both guns are great. I use to own an A4 the gun was awesome, high rate of fire with its large batt. I have also seen and tried out a PDW in skirmishes, Retraw’s to be exact. That gun is great too, very compact and easy to maneuver with. So you have a line in the sand.
On this side you have the A4. Large battery keeps those bb whores (highcap users) happy. Accuracy and range is nothing to cheer about, it’s a short barrel SMG.
On this side you have the Mp5K or PDW. Extremely compact makes it easy to maneuver and conceal for ambushes etc. Stick battery will last an entire day with a “trained” shooter. Accuracy and range is nothing to cheer about. It’s a short barrel SMG.
Base your decision on what you think you like best, weather its based on looks or the information you gather from this thread, choose what makes you happy not what others are happy with and your airsoft experience will be more appreciable.
Or you could… save up for a bit and get a real AEG hehe, say an AUG, AK or M16 of type… but again its your choice hehe.
