Ok, I finally got the pictures done and threw something together real quick. Here are the shots of my MC-51 Full Stock, a project in progress.... emporium.freehomepage.com/mc51page.htmLemme know what ya think, I know the green treatment won't be for everyone, but I am a G3 traditionalist. Green is what they are supposed to be. Vitalis

Holy crap that looks nice! Very nice job with the paint, it even makes that pistol look twice as good! Can't wait to see this gun in person.

Minky and Sick, thanks, I appreciate it....
Ancient modeler's secret with the paint. I mean, the parts were plastic right? No different than a model. Prep the surface with rubbing alchohol, then spray with Acrylic paint. I used straight Tamiya Olive Drab from the can.
Silent, as I wrote on the page. I needed to play the lottery the day I got that stock. THAT is how good my luck was. Those stocks aren't just hard to get, they are IMPOSSIBLE to get. The only option your friend has is one of the large foregrips or a battery bag slung between the arms of the sliding stock.

Wow! That looks really good, can't even tell it's been painted. In fact when I first saw it I thought it was a full stock off a G3A3. Very nice job good sir.

Thanks guys, And Mike, no problem. If it wasn't for you finding it, I would still be in collapsible stock hell. And in last Saturday's game at Viking's, it worked awesome. Played all day on one battery, shouldered just fine, and felt nice and comfortable. Vitalis

Forgot to notice at our last event if the paintjob held up well after a whole day of running and gunning. Just wondering about the durability of the model paint you used in case I ever decide to paint any of my gear. Hmm, though a couple scratches would add character to the lovely weapon.

The paint held up incredibly. I am very pleased with the performance. I am sure that it is going to start to rub off after a while, but that is no big deal, I can just add more.
But yeah, the survived the day well. And I will look for scratches in the morning... I wouldn't mind a couple either... ;D
