Woohoo, it's here! What a great day.... I wake up, check the TNT tracking site to see if there have been any updates and notice it now said "Out for Delivery" "Ooh!" I thought to myself..."I wonder when it'll get here." Just then the TNT Express van rolled into the drive way delivering the greatness that is Steyr AUG Military Type. As many of you already know I've had this on my guns to get list for what seems like ever. Everything about it is perfect, the weight, the feel, the look... Even the scope is excellent and looks just like the real Steyr AUG Mil scope I checked out at a gun show a few months back. Even for a stock gun it shoots like a dream, hopefully I'll get to shoot Ballista a wee bit today so after that he'll have a full pain report. Later on though I plan to do a review of both my MP5 and the AUG so stay tuned. Oh I love that magazine.

Hot damn that is a lovely gun Hado! Nice choice Is that a green floorplate I see on that magazine? My standards and hicaps all have black ones; must be the Military version comes with green? Now, how about some pics of you in your AUSCam holding your new AUG? Pleeeeaaaaaase!?

Yeah I noticed that too. The extra standard mags I ordered have a black baseplate like yours do. Kinda wish they'd all be nice and green though like the one that came with the gun.
Aah well.
Still looks mighty good!
As for the AUSCAM+AUGgie Doggie request...yarrr...it's just way too hot for clothing now. I have it all out and ready to rock, I'll just wait till it cools down a little though before taking any pics. Speaking of AUSCAM I should have my Auscam boonie hat coming in late next week. And.....ehem...speaking of camo, I just ordered me some Dutch DPM camo from the link Sickpointe provided over in the Digital Camo thread. $14 bucks for pants and shirt was just too good to miss out on.

I think I'm in love with the frosted plastic mags... Best airsoft gun I've ever held. For now.

size comparison between the trusty old SD5 and the new AUGgie Doggie. Die Kitty! Ballista took some pics of me in the AUSCAM but they all turned out too crappy to post. Psst..Ballista, the camera has a ZOOM.

Hadoken...........is it just me or are the iron sights on top of the scope kinda tilted over to the right in that pic you took through the scope?

weird. Never even noticed that. I think maybe though its meant to be that way since it all looks perfectly straight when I'm right there aiming at things.
*shrugs*
I'll check it out tomorrow.

You're going down Joe. ;D Hadoken, what made you chose the Military over the Receiver type?

Just liked the look of this version a whole lot better than the reciever type. Not that the RT one is bad or anything *me hides from Minky*, with the right optics it always looks amazing. But this is classic AUG in the purest form, I love it!

Hmm, aug eh. Bleh. I dun know Hado I have heard of horror storied of that fixed red dot breaking and it costing an arm and a leg to replace and/or repair, use with caution.

It's not a red dot, heh. I wouldn't worry about it getting shot very often anyway. The sight I have mounted on my AUG has easily twice the surface area to get hit on, and I can only recall it getting shot once. If you are worried it wouldn't be very hard to cut out a circle from some bigger scope cover and stick it in place on the AUG's scope, that is if there's room.... Argh the more I look at your pics Hado, the more I really, really want to get a Mil receiver for my AUG. You're a damn temptress, that's what you are.
