Yeah, a bullpup AK would be about the only thing uglier than an aug, that and ****. (EDITED: lets not see...)

I edited JDL's comment above; it only provoked anger and unrest on the boards. Anyhoo....I reattached the front handgrip on the M4 last night, and as promised, here are some pictures: Comcast won't let me connect to my web page FTP; will post the pictures later tonight if it lets me log in.

Here is my current plan: -AK-47 from den trinity shop for $250 including shipping -1-2 Short high cap mag -1 regular high cap mag or 3 normal mags (not high cap) -Scope mount, Scope rings, Scope (around 150 for all three) -Dragunov flash suppressor Then, when i get more money... -Metal lower receiver -wood furniture And there you have it...my current plan, though its about as flimsy as jello on withdrawl from viagra. Any more suggestions?

is that stable? It seems like it would be pretty wobbly. Is there any other way you have that attatched other than the zip tie that we can't see?

Thats exactly what i want to AVOID doing if i get an AK and try to upgrade its appearance (read my other post). Newman, feel free to edit this if you feel like shooting me.

Heh, JDL, you can see all of the zip ties. Check out the 2nd to the left one, it's going through the front handgrip. AK Dude, I won't edit your post, because you have a valid reason: the appearance. *However*, after considering all of my options for the problem I had (batteries dying after 200-400 rounds because of upgrade), I decided that mounting an external battery would be the easiest way. All I did was rig up a system using connectors that I soldered onto wire from previous electrical devices. Plus, I love the way it looks; it's totally unique. About the wobbly issue-it's actually more wobbly now, BUT, it's *definitely* going to stay on better because of the zip tie going through the handgrip. AK Dude, if the M4 was able to hold a large battery somehow, I definitely wouldn't have done this. Seeing as it only takes mini batteries, my setup works great for me. My suggestion would be to buy that AK stock, then buying this: www.blackhawkindustries.com then go to "online catalogue", then "accessories, weapons/rifles", then look at the second picture/item. That looks like it would fit on that AK stock, and the wires that were previously in the original AK stock would already be able to attach to a battery in that pouch. Sound good?

I pity the foo' who be talkin trash 'bout AUGs! My manly AUG will eat your puny earth guns for breakfast, lunch and dinner, then finish them off in a midnight snack! ;D BAM! Until you witness the glory that is my Silent AUG of Death TM, then do not anger the airsoft gods with your harsh words. Plus it hurts my gun's feelings Newman: That foregrip looks like it could fold up out of the way now, just like an AUG's, hehe. We'll see how long it lasts at the next skirmish.... hopefully more than one game this time! Now all you need to do is work one of those cheap universal laser sights into the battery/foregrip thingy and you would be all set. 8) Oh, and about batteries for the M4, it doesn't "only" take mini sized ones. There are custom M4 batteries available such as the 9.6v 1100mAh and 1700mAh that require little or no modification to fit into the gun. In fact, for the cost of your 2 9.6v minis I'm guessing you could have almost paid for the 9.6v 1100mAh....

I traded my two 8.4V 600 mAh minis for the two 9.6 volt minis, Minky.
True, I must concede that using those v-shaped batteries would have worked, *but*, I did NOT want to take out my fuse tray + fuse. Futzing with the connectors and making one that connects to the large battery didn't make any problems with the gun, but when removing the fuse, I could have. Guess I'm just a little sheapish when it comes to modifying the original parts.
I like the look and feel of my M4 with the front hand grip, hehe...oh wells ©.

You can buy an AK for $250 with shipping from DEN. is that with or without the battery and charger?
