Hey all, I was just wondering if any of you guys has ever heard of a retailer called airsoft club? I'm thinking of buying a MP5A4 from them ($227 for the gun and batt. and thats after 5 day shipping!). Has any of you ever bought from them before? Or heard anything about the quality of their service? Any help would be much appreciated, I don't wanna get screwed by a company just becuase I'll save myself a few bux.

Yeah, they're a pretty major company. they do great custom work, or so i hear. Just remember that they are located in Hong Kong, so there's a chance that it might get siezed coming through customs(and shipping would be a problem, but as you said, you got that added in already).

Yah, it suprised me, the shipping is only around 36 bux for 5 day shipping. And about the customs thing, you can ask them to ship it with putty over the trademarks and a orange tipped barrel of course. All easily removed once it arrives.

Ouch.....that looks nasty. But don't forget, that was a metal stock, painted. A MP5 is plastic, if I did have to sand it, I would scratch the surface, but, being black through and through, you would have a hard time seeing it. My friend had the same problem with his walther p99. And his MP5 PDW. His dad used to be in the bump and body work business for cars, I guess he had something to remove the putty, it looked great, couldn't even tell that there was putty there before, much less that it was removed. Can't remember what it was tho. Don't some places put masking tape down first, then put the putty on that?

there are many ways to remove even the most stubborn putty, most are documented on AO, ASP, and ASZ. you can find them there.
as for the orange, you might want to request a specific color number that it needs to be in order to pass through customs. I don't have it memorized, but i believe WTS-Mike posted it in the thread talking about customs seizures. The title is something to the effect of "Caution:US customs crackdown". check that thread out to see what color number is necassary.

My P-90 got through customs fine, and all they did was color over the trademarks on the box...

Yeah but you got your P90 quite some time ago right? The situation is different now so a lot more packages get checked and a lot more get confiscated.
Airsoftclub though from what I've heard is pretty good. I check it often to see what new "ex-favorite" guns they put up since sometimes you can get some mighty good deals ($180 for a Jac MP5 SD5 for instance)

Kool, thanks everyone for all the helpfull info. Yeck, I've been reading through that post about US Customs. That sounds really nasty, I don't wanna have my money go down the crapper cuase some customs agents want to be the wrong end of a animal's anatomy. So has anything as major as that happened recently? Has any of you guys bought guns recently? And gotten them ok?
Sorry man, and please no one, don't flame the hell outta me, but, I just can't stand the MP5 SD series.....I dunno why, the way the silencer looks like its intergrated, like a modern sten.....bleh. To round throughout the stock to the silencer. Although that MP5 with the PSG1 stock looks badass.

My last shipment came thru ok, BUT, and that is a Big But, the shipment was not insected by US customs. I do have more inbound this week via TNT and SPEEDPOST (my UPS stuff [BB'S] arrived today) I will keep you guys posted if any more stuff gets nabbed.

hmm, well, I wouldn't be ordering this gun.....prolly until just after Xmas. With the putty and orange barrel, although it seems that doesn't matter sometimes....So I got a little wait until I can even order it.

I like to tell people to order form within the states. Sure you may pay around 30 bucks more to get your package but at least you know it has cleared customs.

Hey man, I'd like to buy it from within the US, if I could. As it is, its gonna take me at least 3 months just to save up another measly 180 bux or so. Think of it this way, I'm 17, I just bought a car a few months ago, so after my car payment, insurance, gas, and all the other things, I have peanuts for myself.
:EDIT: I just noticed on their website, that they offer a 100% moneyback guarentee if your gun gets seized by customs, (as long as its legal to ship the gun to your state in the first place) :EDIT:
