Here's an email I got tonite from John Lu.
John is looking to make this event more attractive to players by offering ECHO Company to wear green MARPAT uniforms. While it's not 100% for sure yet, that would mean - FOX CO./US Woodland, ECHO CO/US MARPAT (Green), Contractors/PMC look.
Post your thought on the above possible change. Please only post if you are actually considering attending or have registered. Please realize that this is just an inquiry and not an official change of uniform YET.

John Lu has decided to allow both US Tiger (green) and MARPAT (green) for use on ECHO Company. Here's John's official announcement: Registration is open and the deadline is coming up. www.oplionclaws.com/northern/nw-home.php

How large is the camping area? Also, can you tell me more about the night fight? Will there be a cease fire somepoint in the night or will we have to have guards on station all night?

How large is the camping area? The camping area is pretty large, but it's just a primitive campsite, no water or electricity. More than enough room for who ever comes. Also, can you tell me more about the night fight? Will there be a cease fire somepoint in the night or will we have to have guards on station all night? This event will be run in separate missions / scenario. It is NOT a continuous op. So there is no all night mission. Once that scenario is over, walk out and go to sleep. Anyone know what the ammo limit is? i need new mags so i need to know what to get either the 100 round mid cap or the milsim 30 round....any help on this? As of right now there are no mag limits except of box mags. Box mags are reserved for support weapons and support weapons are limited to 1 per squad. Last year, there was everything for lows to highcaps.

As many of you know there is no water or electricity at the camp site, i was thinking about renting a mid size generator and a portable hot shower with pleanty of water. could i get anyones input on this and if this can happen anyone who will pitch in on the cost will have unlimited use of the generator and get X ammount of hot water for a shower at the field! 3 days is along time to go without a shower so poster here or PM me, my thought is to take donations at the field or possible paypal, donations are to cover the cost of the rental, gas, propane and large water tank.

Yeah thats a good idea Phantom. I don't think I would like the idea of not being able to wash my nuts and ass crack for 3 days, fuck that... I remember at Op Blind Fury 3 we all kept going to the Shell gas station and washing up in there bath room sink. They had people in camo and face paint coming in and out, using there bath room and coming out with all the paint washed off. I bet they loved that I have nothing else to say I remember going up in that bitch, getting a wad of paper towel and soaping it up and dropping my BDU's so I could wash my nut sack off. Better then nothing but a shower would be 100% better.

As of right now, Foxtrot company with MSG Mullen is full and Echo company with Col. Longgrear would need another 24 guys. The contractors team is full with SGT Ryan. Not that Echo really need those 24 players but as the room is available for them, why not kicking Foxtrot's butt a little bit more??? For those not knowing the event details, let me give you few details; - The event is for mature players, so no cry babies and childish attitude. - The event is $90/player. Worth every penny for several reasons such as the field, the ambiance and the players attitude itself. - Such event will give you access to other Best marketing events (such as Irene). - Kicking Foxtrot's butt is always a great pleasure. You forgot to enlist or found out you are now available for the event? please go here: www.oplionclaws.com/northern/nw-release.phpWant more details or discussions about the event? go here: www.oplionclaws.com/northern/nw-home.phpOnce again, this is your final opportunity to be part of such event, don't miss it!

Cash and time-wise, it was a choice between Northern Wind and Irene. In my mind, that was a no-brainer.

I needed to go to NW3 to get vets status for Irene etc to make it easier to get in. Northern Wind 3 was pretty bad ass. I'll tell you though, that terrain kicked my ass a few times and one of the guys that went with us started to black out and had a small heat stroke. Had to take him back to the hotel but honestly, I was almost glad because I was about half dead too. My 30 pound pack and me carrying his 40 pound pack up and down those HUGE mother fucking hills to get out of the 250 acres and the weight of my guns about killed me. Thank god John Lu popped out of the woods and carried his 40 pound bag of bricks up the last big hill for him. I think I would have died had I, I have nothing else to say OMG I love that field though. Anyway, going to miss Irene as its full, but the NEW John Lu event at Fort Hood sounds BAD ASS. He filled us all in at NW3 and its going to be officially announced in the next couple weeks so I wont say much but if you know Fort Hood, it's 2 MOUT facilities with a .8 mile stretch of woods between them, under ground tunnels, 3 story buildings, blah blah... O and the cool part... The people who sign up.... Verses the U.S. Marines Seems they have there own airsoft team. Fort Hood is in Texas and the events in October, the military just gave the green light for the event but its limited to *ONLY* 250 people. Hehehe... Watch the Lions Claw webpage fore more details.

Looks like GK and 6mm will once again be sharing the field and wreaking havoc on their collective foes. Also, in regards to NW3, I was there along with 5 other 6mm guys fighting for Sgt Ryan as contractors. Hell of a guy and a hell of a game. Kdogg, were you echo or fox?
