What do you guys think? In the first picture, the newly painted parts are the exact same color as the background. It's annoying that the flash "changed" the colors but when I tried fixing the colors it just didn't look good. The second picture has no flash and the colors are correct, but the quality suffers because the shutter speed is too slow (the "no flash" setting does that) on my dad's digital camera.

I need to put putty over my trades and have electrical tape all over my sling, right, Rich? Then it will be to your liking. Seriously, though, I'm thinking I might spray on another coat of OD Green and get rid of the black tiger stripes. I think it looks cool in real life, but not so great in pictures...or maybe it doesn't look good at all, I dunno. I'll think about it.

I think a darker OD would look better than that. It's a little too light colored. Thicker and fewer stripes would probably improve it some too.

I'd get rid of the stripes if i were you, they look like they were put on with a sharpie. (I was told it was a paint marker) If i were you i'd repaint the it od green and keep it that color. It would also look pretty cool if you painted the grip od. Ill have to see what the stripes look like in real life, its probably just my computer .

Good idea Newman, but I think I'm with JDL on making the stripes a tad thicker. Also maybe you'd want to try and make the stripes a bit less evenly spaced. Needs more irregularity. Other than that I think you're off to a good start there. Can't wait to finally see that beefed up M4 of yours in person.

/me thinks someone is gettin reeeaaaallllyyy bored cuase of winter........
But yah, it looks ok, like the others said though, thicker stripes would prolly look better.
I was just over my friends house, we were outside tearin up popcans with his new toy, a TM Thompson He has also owns a real steel Tommygun, so we switched the rifle grip on the Thompson with the pistol grip from the Tommygun, looks pretty sweet and or funny with the shorter barrel.

Newman, I think your M4 looks SEXY, except that you need to listen to the rest, make the stripes thicker. Make them look a little like flames or in a flame wavy motion and also if the paint isnt sticky or wont get sticky if your hands to sweat, paint the grip OD Green with the same style I've described above. Silencer doesn't look that good attatched though. Paint it? NOOO. Dont ruin 65.00 dollar silencer. If the paint is washable, go for it.

I didn't check the thread after I posted last night, so this is what I decided on even before you guys said anything helpful (Richard, I have nothing else to say . Guys, really, the flash makes everything look brighter than normal. You can check out the "R.A.C.K." thread and see the differences in camouflage color of the vest and my jacket in the picture, but in real life it's basically impossible to tell. Remember to check the first picture's (on this thread) background color to see the real color of the paint.

I wonder if all that paint makes the gun more flammable? ;D

that second picture is confusing to me It may just be my computer, but it looks a little disoriented. Would it be possible to take a pic of it in sunlight without the flash. That would take care of the flash altering the color. Oh well, i'll see it soon enough. I still think a little thiker stripes on the foregrip would look better, and kind of wavy like solid snake said. Other than that though, if the color looks good to you, then go wih it.

I'd slap another coat of OD on the stock, I can still make out the stripes.

I have nothing else to say, try this here you go, i think that painting I'm too lazy to spell a full word out. Please mock me. gun is pointless unless you paint it ALL OD GREEN, TIGER STRIPE, WOODLAND, OR DESERT. I WOULDNT MESS WITH THOSE CRAZY COMBOS! Im not even that big on painting I'm too lazy to spell a full word out. Please mock me. gun in the first place. later derick

Hrm...tape on my gun. Hrm...no thanks. I applied a second coat to the retractable stock. It looks respectable now. I took a picture right after the first coat, so I guess it didn't cover it completely. I'll show it to the FLAG guys later; I'm guessing they will agree that it looks better in real life. Thanks for the opinions, guys.
