Local retailer in Mount Clemens has joined with local paint ball owner to use outdoor fields for Airsoft. Susan at Big Boys Toys is having team sign up on Dec. 30 -Jan 1 so we can get a count of local teams in the MI Area. We would like to see a Representative from all teams to show up and leave some contact information so we can get a hold of teams for some events. We are opening an airsoft field in 2 different locations. We will be having open play with a fee for the first few weekends to determine if there is going to be some good turnouts. Then eventually will be having big events once a month. What i mean by open play is that teams or individuals show up we make some quick teams and play some airsoft. During team sign ups we will be raffling off a UTG MP5 or the new UTG Master Sniper rifle , winner will chose which one. To get in the raffle you must make a purchase of 5.00 $ or more , come check out the shop . The shop is located at Gibraltars Trade Center in Mount Clemens off of I94 and North river rd exit , north of Metro Parkway (16 mile Rd) FOR INFO CALL Susan 1-586-909-8109 or Junior (S-System) 1-313-228-3161

Hope to see some teams show up for this sign up. If your team is recruiting this would be a great place to talk to individuals looking to join a team. Likewise for individuals looking to join a team . Dec 30 -Jan1 Mount Clemens Gibraltars Trade Center

Sorry, I was just trying to look out for the people who didnt know, and I will pay closer attention to my grammer in the future. ThanksDo people really get that anal about grammar on these boards? Nothing annoys me more then people who get annoyed about stupid shit like grammar. I mean sometimes you just want to type a quick message and you don’t feel like double checking your grammar. I know I never proof my threads or replied. Sometimes I make mistakes, sometimes I don't. I think I'm typing pretty well right now for a 7am hang over as a matter of fact.

Do people really get that anal about grammar on these boards? Nothing annoys me more then people who get annoyed about stupid shit like grammar. I mean sometimes you just want to type a quick message and you don’t feel like double checking your grammar. Yes, we get that annoyed. Your post, while tolerably written itself, does a great job of showing why. You say that you don't always feel like taking the time to compose a good message. You're ignoring the fact that you only write it once, while everyone following the topic reads it at least once, and possibly more often. To assume that your convenience matters more than theirs is rude. In any case, your feelings on the matter are not relevant. While some typos are inevitable, the mods expect all posters to make the effort to use proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar. If you don't feel like putting that level of effort into it, don't post.

Zorak how old are you? Are you an english teacher or something ?
Speaking of the team sign-up im very disappointed in the turn out from local teams. I had more individuals looking to join teams than i had actual teams show up . Not one Team representative showed up to represent there team. There is still time we will be open tommorrow from 10 AM - 6 pm .

No, Zorak's not an english teacher. Zorak, along with some of the other senior members of the board just require that if you take the time to post, TAKE the time to post. Use of correct grammar, spelling (there is a spellcheck feature), and intelligence, reduces the amount of signal/noise ratio on this board. Signal/noise ratio refers to the amount of useful/informative information compared to unreadable, improper, or immature posting on the topic at hand. That is why LEETspeak, abusive, spam posts are ruthlessly handled by the mods and other senior members (Xaos, Zorak, Munin, Knief, etc.). If you want a comparison example goto airsoftretreat and try to read some of the posts.

Gee I didn't mean to start anything As a staff member and moderator of a major online forum that has been featured in magazine articles, on CNN, investigated by the US Department of Justice, etc, with over 130,000 members (We have 133113 registered users to be exact) I've never really gave a shit about spelling and leet typing. Boy let me tell you some of those morons type some crap I can't even read sober.

O... and before anyone flames my comments about "featured in magazine articles, on CNN, investigated by the US Department of Justice, etc, with over 130,000 members" comment, I wasn't saying that to sound cool. All I meant was that with so much traffic and publicity, we get a lot of morons who can't type or spell. Hell my dog spells better then a lot of the people on are forum
