If you guys haven't contacted the press, like Ann Ann Arbor News, which has a Livingston County edition, you should.

Unless the Daily has changed a lot since I was there, OH MY GOD HELL NO. Chances of getting a sympathetic story out of those whiney leftist swine vary from "none" to "they might do a sidebar piece about how weird the guy who contacted them was, too."

hmmm... now that I think about it, yeah they're still extreme liberals, we would probably catch crap for supporting the Iraq war somehow and generating demeaning stereotypes of Eastern Europe

Quick question on my AUG HBar, does my bi-pod have to replicate the HBar's? Or can I just slap a bi-pod on it, or possibly one that sort of resembles it (like an m60 bi-pod)? Because, I haven't found one under $200, or even someone who could make me one. So I was going to try to attempt to make one in machine, but I only have about 5 days I would be able to get work in during machine shop, so I am not sure if I would be able to (now that we are on break and all). _____________________________________ Also, since it would be rather hard to create a longer mag'd Hi-cap for the AUG (I would have to ruin two hi-caps and not even sure if it would work right), I was going to create a mod on my TOP mp5 1000rnd Drum Mag that would allow it to work in my AUG (Cut a Hi-Cap and replace the Mp5 mag on top basically). Would that be excepted in replace of the AUG's longer magazine? (I would hate to waste all that time and effort to show up at the OP and not be allowed to use it.) Also, I checked and the best I could do for an AUG HBar kit (if I bought it) would be the AUH HBar kit made by Boom Arms: Looks nice, but not for 360USD. I read up on a forum that I post on, and someone said they stole the blue prints off from a 1988 ARMS magazine article on JAC AUG do it yourself conversions. A step by step how to was included as well.

Psychosis, it's not so much the liberalism that I'm worried about (hell, I'm super left). But you know the quality of their writers and editors. Even if they tried to write a positive article, nobody would know what they said. Plus, I would think that airsoft is still pretty taboo on campus since that kid [rightly] got prosecuted for shooting pedestrians from his window with a springer. TMD = noo good at our games.
I would rather not have any news source there. This is our first real game, and while everything ought to go smooth, I don't think that it will be newsworthy in spite of it's size. Maybe if we can get a similar showing next time, when SEMIA is more experienced at hosting events, and we're a little more confident in how to manage this many people.

I dunno, if the news was there I would hope everyone would act on their absolute best behavior but it's your call and I'm too much of a pessimist to think you're wrong.
