EL said he will be leanient about the 411 thing, he said if its a little over its ok. so im kinda worried about my m14. i had a 400 fps spring put into it, but its STILL getting worked on.

Crikey... the whole point of the 410 limit, as Knief said elsewhere, is to let people aim for 400 and miss. If you can't manage to stick under 410, give it up. Lenience is all well and good in some situations, but not where safety is concerned.

If you get your gun back even a couple days before Redout, do a poor man's chrono. If it looks close, you might just want to disable full auto before you show up. Either that, or get there really early and try to chrono your gun first so you have time to disable full auto while everybody else is chronoing their guns. There are about 170 people to get through, so it will take a little bit.
Which reminds me: Briefing will start at noon, chronoing before that. We are considering locking the gates at noon, because briefing is important. We'd like everybody to show up between 10:30 and 11:00, and the earlier the better. I believe that at least El Phantasamo will try to be there between 9:00 and 9:30, and I will try to be there very early as well.

if i am over 411.. is it cool if i just take off my selector switch? im sure it wont be too leathal . As you guys know im a safe player, i dont want to hurt anyone just like everyone else, so it is understandable why 411 is the limit.

I'm struggling to remember, does the M14 have the two selector switches, one for safe/fire and one for semi/full? If it does, then that would be fine if you took off the semi/full auto switch while it rested in the semi auto position. If that's not the case, and it works like pretty much every other AEG, then you couldn't do that. If you can't switch it off of semi auto, then you can't switch it to safe. And that's just dangerous for everybody, more so than you shooting at 415 fps.

M14's have a safety and a seperate selector that goes from semi to full. He could just set the gun to semi and remove the selector, more than likely.

The nice thing about smaller ops is that you know most everyone and can just ask them to keep the gun on semi. When you get 100+ it makes that a bit harder, kind of a shame.

Since I am on MEU we are chronoing before everyone else and seeing how the OP creator is in my squad, he will make sure my weapon is prestine. all of us on MEU are setting up away from everyone else so you guys wont know what we look like (except BDU color, or if you know us personally).
were going to chrono and everything before everyone else and then head out for SitRep.

Yeah, that might be confusing because my radios don't have private channels.

Im assuming you guys will have a good amount of time to choose radio channels, if your uncomfortable using a radio with non private channels, someone may let you borrow a radio. Im not sure if MEU is using radios... Time will tell.

Yeah, that might be confusing because my radios don't have private channels. "Private channels" are nothing of the sort and should be avoided at all costs.
