Ok I need some help with Flashlights (I did a search and found some info but not enough). All I know is that Surefire flashlights are good and I want the "straight?" ones. Now I was planning on getting a flashlight that can be strapped to my foregrip of my M733. My questions are: What Surefire flashlight should I get and what mounting system should I buy as well?

If you don't (Or can't) spend a lot, a Surefire G2 Nitrolon will do you just fine and will fit in a standard 1 inch scope ring. Takes two batteries.

If I were willing to spend around 60-70 dollars, would the Nitrolon still be my best bet?

Well, you could get a slightly better light for 70-80...but, you'll find that the best performance jump with surefire lights will happen once you're willing to spend over $100. This one: www.surefire.com/maxexp/main/co_disp/displ/prrfnbr/942/sesent/00will be my next flashlight...primarily because of the rechargeable batteries, as my G2 has proven to be extremely useful for work as well as airsoft. Also, keep in mind that you'll likely want a remote-switch tailcap...another consideration when thinking about prices...though a single tailcap will fit most of the surefire lights.

I'm not sure of the quality of the light in the link. But i will say, spending the cash on a surefire is a good investment. They make very nice, very bright lights. There are a few slightly lower cost options, check a boating store as highpower flash lights are sort of a must on a boat. But unless your totally straped for cash, go with what Jacko and Xoas both said and go with a surefire.

When I want a flashlight: I not only want quality, but looks also. - - Combat Flash Light ( 6V )
- - Light Mount
- - Remote Switch
- - Price: US$ 70.00
^ My next flashlight (Without shipping) will still keep me (you) in the 60-70 range technically. Also I would not recommend your (Just Tactical Light With Mount And Switch (9V)) flashlight solely on the number of batteries needed to power it. I would, however, if you dislike my choice (won't mind) would recommend the 6V instead. It takes one less battery and is less bulky: img.photobucket.com/albums/v480/AndrewMp5k2004/just-light-mount-6p_big.jpg. It's on sale for $60.00, instead of the 9V for $65.00. <Side Note> I would highly recommend getting a set with batteries. Today I just had to go and pick me up some 3v Lithium Batteries from ACO Hardware because the Flashlight (Cheap SWAT Flashlight, $30, will do for now ) that I bought of Testicool I regretly have to inform did not come with batteries. They cost me $8.67 a piece! Not cheap! So that's Flashlight price + Batteries (70 + 20 = 90 overall without shipping!).

A note about batteries, you can buy bundles of Surefire batteries in bulk to save. Get a couple friends together and you'll spend less money.
Also, G&G lights are very bright as well.

I use the G2, and I find it to be quite enough for airsofting... So far. The guys up here hate it when I play night games with em On a side note, I suggest you consider using the flashlight without a mount on your gun. Basically, you have to think that if you're going to use the flashlight on someone, their first instinct is to fire at the flashlight. Therefore, if it's mounted on the front of your gun... you're hit. However, I use my flashlight in my offhand, and hold it way out to the left of me - when the enemy fires, the only thing directly in their line of fire is my hand and arm. A much smaller target, even tho I'm thin as a pencil! There's also some other tactics to flashlights, but I'll let you figure those out on your own ;-) Of course, If you're just mounting it for looks... disregard all that crap ;p (edit) I probably just screwed myself by posting this... oh well. Freedom of Information!

Note: For the $70 + shiping for the G&G light, you can get a Surefire G2 Nitrolon with all the extra stuff pictured. I'd rather have a Surefire than a G&G replica, however good the G&G lights may be.
That's not a very good reason to recommend that someone not purchase a light, honestly. If you're mounting it to a weapon, then length isn't really much of an issue, and the fact that it uses three batteries means it's brighter than the 2-cell lights. Example: A surefire M2 Centurion kicks out 65 lumens, while the M3 Combatlight pushes 125 lumens. Granted, the two lights use different lamp assemblies, but a two-cell light can't power the M3's lamp assembly.
Here's a little something to think about if you're considering a G2, however. The base light costs roughly 30 dollars. Batteries are typically good for about 1 hour of total runtime. They cost a buck and a half each or so, assuming you find somewhere to get them relatively cheap. A new lamp assembly runs $20. Lamps tend to burn out pretty quickly, simply because they run so bright. So, once you've run the lamp dead, you may as well just buy a new G2. This little tidbit is exactly why I plan on purchasing the more expensive rechargeable unit above...for one, it's a brighter light, two, the batteries are rechargeable, making it a bit cheaper to run, and three, the light itself is expensive enough that a $20 lamp assembly isn't comparable to replacing the whole light.

Ok well I have determined to get a G2 Nitrolon but now I am confused about the remote switch and mount. I found this mount (http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=2349) but I don't know if this will work with the G2. Also which switch should I buy considering there are many different ones on UN company. Any help is greatly appreciated

If all else fails (i.e. nobody here knows) just e-mail unco and ask if it's a 1 inch ring... the G2 will fit a 1 incher... as Jacko stated =)

If I had the extra coin, I'd buy a Surefire 6P instead of a G2. The 6P features the lockout tailcap, which means that you can unscrew the tailcap a turn or so and make it impossible to activate the light. To lock out the G2, you have to reverse a battery or otherwise mess with the light.
It might not be a big deal on a weapon-mounted light, but I've had problems with the G2 I carry on my belt activating accidentally when something pushes it down against the bottom of the pouch.

"Hey Zorak, why're you glowing red?"
"@^#^&&!!!"
back on topic, I had the same problem... put it in my guncase, gun pushed up against it, light turns on for an entire trip =O
