From what I've seen an M16A1 with the round A2 grips/heatshield + toob would be quite accurate for turn of the decade Marine kit.

Yeah I've seen pictures of M16a1s with A2 grips and A1's with the regular grips. And as said as before, M16a2s weren't standard issue with Marines until the late 1980's, and since this is a 1990-1991 kit it will be pretty accurate. Hell, I could use all the gear besides the PASGT for a Vietnam kit as well. ALICE gear is basically the same as the M1956 equipment EDIT- Damn, the surplus store didn't have 6 Color desert cammies, so my kit won't be ready for a while. I'll just wear my satines and go with a Vietnam loadout for a bit. (Satines were the OD clothes worn in the Vietnam war)

Hopefully I won't catch flak for posting this in a dead thread. But since it's stickied I should be in the clear here's what I run during games, it was a custom design that I had asked for and this was the result. store.usgruntgear.com/grakmochrig.htmlit's beautiful and I love it. Still waiting for my monkey combat admin pouch.

Its fine to post in this thread. It was stickied for just this reason, so people could post what they've got. Seems like recently the gallery has taken over for this and most people don't this spot out often.
I've heard good things about US Grunt Gear. It seems my only complaint with that rig is that the MOLLE isn't flat, but divided between each mag pouch. Seems like it would make mounting extra pouches a pain.

Rig looks well made for sure, but seems a bit expensive for the limited real estate you get.
But other than that, I like it.
In fact, as a reward for your actually taking a moment to think about your post, I went ahead and lowered your warning level. Hopefully that will encourage you to keep up the good work.

When I had ordered it it was a modification to a simpler rig, so it was about 50 bucks cheaper at the time. It is limited in space, but I have yet to fill it out. It's also meant to be paired with the infidel war belt also made by USGG.
Edit: the double PALS one each mag pouch is real easy to mount and quite sturdy, right now I have a duel AR mag pouch being used as a holster which carries my KP8, I hope to add some pistol mag pouches soon but I'm quite occupied with college.

I shall add this here, something for my up and coming Army 10th SFG impression. Here's my new helmet, purchased from someone in Fort Irwin, CA. Everything came as is except for the V lite which I added. I suspect it came from Army SF or similiar. Kitlist: Tactical Ballistic Helmet, M Anvis Mount + LPBP Surefire X200 Pistol Light Surefire Helmet Light Blue/White V Lite Blue On/Blink/Off

Unfortunate that it doesn't fit.
