Dude, is a Ferrarri better than a ford escort? Heck ya a ghillie suit is a lot better than standard camo. You have to REALLY REALLY REALLY know how to make one and what colors you are going to need. The BEST PLACE TO GET ONE is from www.ghilliesuits.com If you are looking to spend a lot of $$$$$ and want it already put together, expect to pay about 200$ for a pre assembled one. I wouldnt suggest this though because they are making it off a generalization of standard woodland areas. The best thing to get is a CUSTOM KIT. You are going to pay about 75 bucks for it shipped and you ARE going to have to put it together yourself. AND BE PREPARED FOR THE MOST TYING YOU WILL EVER DO IN YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!!! You should do a custom kit and for the area in michigan i would suggest a combination of woodland and leafy green kits. You chooose 7 colors but you are going to want a lot of one or 2 colors. You are going to need 1 brown, about 3 or 4 different greens and such, and 1 black, and maybe a khaki color. Just a few suggestions. Also, after you construct your ghillie suit, your not totally finished. You also have to add leaves and dirt when you arrive at your sniping spot. A ghillie suit (IF MADE CORRECTLY!!!!!!!) should be able to be walked right by and not noticed. The marines have a limit of 5 feet that they say you should eb able to stand from and not notice. Remember, it is supposed to break up the human outline figure Dont make it so fluffy that you look like chewbacca either, those are some of the most noticeable ghillie suits ever. I would suggest a water proofer too. when they get wet, the colors fade and bleed. (NOT GOOD) I recently put a suit together that i ordered for xmas. The instructoins said it takes 7 1/2 hours. Well, a few days later (about 20 hours) i have about 95% of it done. I have yet to do the hood. A gun wrap is also needed. (You can cut the front of your ghillie suit about a foot shorter than the back and you save a lot of extra money and time. I would also suggest wearing some kind of mask when you are making it because there are little fibers from the jute(yarn) that get airborne and in your lungs (not good) so dont do it in the place you sleep unless you plan on spitting up little fiber loogies for the next few days. Also, they get in your nose/eyes/mouth/ and any other open orophus of your body. Be ready for a long relationship with a big chewbacca outfit cause its a long commitment that you are stuck with, but it goes by fast when you think about airsoft the whole time, good luck.

Phew,
Derick pretty much summed that one up! Yes, he is right about pretty much everything he said. Ghillie suits are a long term commitment, and you are much better off making your own. I am one of two snipers for our team, and I have 2 ghillie suits that I have custom made. They are worth the time IF you contruct them correctly. If you need any help or have any questions concerning making one, then just PM me or AIM me! ;D

I have 3 ghillie suits from www.ghilliesuits.com, 1 poncho and 2 stalker suits. I will be willing to sell the ponchos for $120 and the stalker suits for $100. I also have three rifle wraps I will sell for $20 a piece.

Yep, There are several variations of the Ghillie suit, and you can pretty much build one any way you want to. If you don't plan on using the suit for sniping, you are more likely to go with something resembling a tracker suit, which only covers the top of your body down to your torso; as opposed to the full body Ghillie Poncho. - Grunt

Hey, if that suit does it's job, the neighbors won't know that he's there.
