SAS Level IV tactical vest.

I've been wanting this vest for what seems like ages now. Seeing it on a weekly basis over at Redwolf Airsoft and Airsoftshop just teasing me for the past few years.

Then after seeing the Team 2 hit 6 pictures Airsoft Zone posted a while back in 1999 I wanted it even more. Those guys just look amazing.

Every time I had some extra money to spend I was always tempted to order from overseas but in the end shipping costs on just a vest seemed to high to make it all worth the trouble. Eventually I came very close to ordering from Airsoft Shop, but after a few very helpful email exchanges with Eddie I soon found out thier vest didn't include the detachable crotch protection panel. Sure it isn't that big of a deal but to me it looked complete with the panel...and...I like my crotch the way it is, a nice protective panel will only help keep it that way. ;D

A couple weeks ago while browsing ebay's selection of tactical and assault vests I was very surprised to see my dream vest sitting right there with hardly anyone bidding on it. As the days went by though it soon had its share of bidders, but being the evil bastard I am I managed to swoop in within the last 14 seconds of the auction to win it for a mere $46. It was an evil move, but who cares...I wasn't going to let some punk have my vest!

I finally recieved the vest early this week and I have to say all my expectations of this vest have been met. It's very comfortable to wear and doesn't restrict my movement at all. Best of all, it'll complete my SWAT impression perfectly:

Thats the meanest tactical shotgunner setup i have ever seen but you are right the knee and elbow pads would completely finish the look

Just got my SWAT BDU set in today. Won it on ebay a week or so ago and apparently it was used by some SWAT unit from NY, the guy also included an ERT shirt so I'm all happy.



Looks much better! Hehe, before I was just wearing my old Burton snowboarding jacket and some fancy dress pants. heehee! ;D

Now I shall start my quest for some knee&elbow pads.

If your're going for accuracy, just get knee pads/shin guards. Elbow pads restrict movement, and makes it harder to keep noise down/raise the gun up. That, and SRT wears their unit patch on the left arm, (btw our patches arnt real ones, just crappo knockoffs, real patchs are "arrows down")

Thanks for the tips Motown, I was actually looking forward to hearing from you about this setup.

Kinda figured the patch was fake, I won it on ebay for cheap. And luckily I didn't sew it on yet either. It's just duct taped on.

And if they don't wear elbow pads then that's actually good news since it'll save me some money.

Its a cool vest, nonetheless, its more a vest for somebody on point, at least in the US, dont really care for SAS/SDU/all the other non american tactical teams

I would also take off the throat protector, only because it makes an already non air circulable vest, into that much more a non air circulable, and when I played hockey, it would always get in my way, and feel like I was being choked.

IMO, the vest I have/your vest are probably the most accurate/cheap vest you can buy if your going for a true tactical look. Yea, the guarder cover 6 knockoff's are pretty cool looking, but for the price you pay, I think they're more than $135, its a bit more than I really would want to pay.

Now...all I have to do is make it to another skirmish, and get some photos together

I'm putting together a Delta getup with Tabo, but on the side I want to make a cool SWAT getup. I kinda want that vest now Hado hehe. I allready have a Delta protec helmet and my fake KEVLAR helmet, but now I want black BDUs and Tabo and I will be buying replica body armor and chest mounts for magazines. Hurray!

No No No Hado, how many times must I tell you, I am going for a SAS get up. However, Velcro patches and a swat helm can change things quite quickly. Would look strange a SRT or LAPD SWAT unit using a TMP if you ask me, well for a few year anyway when the TMP finally replaces the MP5 in our country.
