Alright. I'm just wondering what sort of gun I should be saving for (anywhere between 200 and 400 bucks) and also some appropriate upgrades/accessories for it. I like gas guns but would settle for AEG if I absolutely had to. I'm kinda leaning towards some sort of shot gun, just because i'm a shotgun sorta guy. I like submachine guns too (you know the kind. The bad guys in the movies always use em). ;D Just lookin for some different opinions. Thanks in advance.

You should be able to find a wide range of shotguns here www.wargameclub.com/WGC_Shop/i think the Marushin ones are gas? correct me if im wrong Also ask Luke213 about inferno. He knows a lot about shotguns and such.Just to add gas guns arent the greatest in Michigan Winters because of something with the gas. Im not exactly sure what someone will say it im sure.

Well you already have an MP5K, how much more submachinegun do you want? But all AEG's perform the same stock just so you know

yer right petary. As far as submachine guns go, I guess I'm set. I'm still leaning towards the shotgun. I don't know why, but I don't like AEGs. Maybe one took advantage of me as a child. I'll check that inferno out. The link right down there is the list of shotguns. I like the KTW Ithaca M37. Is that okay or is there a better choice? hey, if an item on that page is out of stock, will it come back in stock eventually? There's a mag for my MP5K but it's out o stock www.wargameclub.com/WGC_Shop/I saw a silencer for the MP5K. I want one just cause it looks cool but I don't want a tracer. I just want the mock silencer. Any ideas? Thanks.

Im not really sure on the shotguns. But all if it doesnt specifacly[sp?] say Full Auto Tracer or whatever than i dont think it will be. It should just be metal or plastic with foam inside i think.

gas as a primary in Michigan is a VERY bad idea. Gas guns don't retain enough gas pressure in cold weather to be effective in a woodland game. You have all sorts of fun with emptying an entire mag full of gas, shooting about 10 feet on a good day, etc..
If I were you I would stick to an AEG or some sort of spring shotgun/bolt action rifle as a primary. Just remember that with a spring shotgun/bolt action rifle you will almost always be outgunned by someone with an AEG

"Just remember that with a spring shotgun/bolt action rifle you will almost always be outgunned by someone with an AEG" That makes me laugh... If you have a good bolt action with the upgrades you are near the top of the out range people..

Well I do agree about being outgunned by an AEG. The reason is not to do with sniping though, as the thread was more a normal assault role, and as assault I wouldn't want anything single shot if I could help it. Personally I would stick to an AEG and just use that as a primary, it's really as easy as it gets for airsoft and probably the most effective.

I don't even think about taking my guns out of their bags until spring. Although I don't plan to be a sniper either, I am certainly not thinking about an AEG. I just don't like them, as unfounded as it may sound and seem. I think I'll stick with the shotgun idea. Thanks Dawg Bait.

If you want a challenge/certain look, go for a shotty. My friend/teammate uses a TM super 90 shorty... I've used it a couple times, and I suck with it.... hard.
It's a good gun overall tho... IMHO it out-ranges my G36 by a bit, but being single shot kinda.... sucks. If you're good tho, you can have a full auto shotgun (hold trigger and pump... it's leet.)
Personally, I'd shoot for a Super 90 full stock version... I like having a stock better than that shorty crap... too small for me ;D
The gas shotties... I've heard arent the greatest. I've never used one, nor seen one used, but.... I dunno, just sounds a bit under-powered for me. But, again, if you're looking for a challenge/certain look, by all means go with a shotty.
Another thing of note : You'll most likely be spending more on shells to hold the same ammount of BB's as an AEG'er... they're basically 10 bucks each, 30 BBs, 10 shots. And easy to lose ;-) If you go with a shotgun, DEFINATELY get a bandolier for storage... pockets are rough with shotty shells.

And if you get an M3 Super 90, on Arnies it shows you how to hook up a VN mag to it so you can have a shotgun with a hi-cap (I know it sounds ironic, but if a shotgun was your primary versus AEGs, you don't exactly have a choice)

I... disagree somewhat, Petary. My friend is actually quite good with his shotty... he's gotten his fair share of kills with it. It takes a certain type of player to make the gun affective.... I'm just not that type of player ;D
