Please don't vote unless you are familiar with all of the choices... Everybody knows TM is the most reliable and affordable. However, I want a metal body and the old school body is sweet looking... I heard the ICS can't fit the modified SD6 battery... will the CA fit the 9.6v battery like the TM SD-6? I just can't make up my mind...

If you want the old style reciever, then you're not going to be happy without it. If you get the TM you'll be regretting it until the day you die, so get the CA.
Most people have been having better experiences with CA now that they've tried to step up beyond AE and ICS. Just know that as with any other upgraded gun, be it an AEG or GBB, you'll have to start replacing things a little sooner than you would on a stock TM gun (FYI, CA's come pre-upgraded).
What stock you want is up to you. You have two CA options, so I'm going to vote for the one with more votes already because i think that's what you'll be happiest with.

Alright I've narrowed it down to between the TM MP5-SD5 or TM SBS MC51... Don't know which one to get.

I've always been a big fan of both of those weapons so I can understand why you're having a hard time deciding on which one to purchase. Just wondering, do you plan to get a full stock on the MC51 SBS? The SD5 won't give you any trouble since you'll be able to stuff a large battery into the stock, but if you plan on putting a custom battery into the front SD portion of the MC51 SBS be prepared for a VERY tight squeeze. I usually had to take the front SD portion apart just to get my 9.6V 1500mah battery in there. Other people like Gonzo of Gonzo's Batteries chose to dremel out a section instead, but eh...I really didn't want to start hacking away at my precious SD. Either way, I bet you'll be pleased with whatever gun you decide on. ** my old MP5-SD5 w/ scope** my old MP5-SD5 w/ aimpoint

Newman used to have an SD6, until he destroyed it by trying to make a laser tag thing. Oh well. His money I guess.

I have an SD5 and I am very pleased with preformance. Stock, it fires a decetly hard round at around 290 fps and has very good accuracy at around 60-80ft. The external hop up lever is very clever and easy to adjust. It is very solid feeling and the only thing that wobbles is the magazine. There are also lots of after market parts for the TM SD5 like the RIS grip and tactical lasers and lights. As a very reliable weapon and its high skirmishability, this would be the one to get in my eyes.

Newman used to have an SD6, until he destroyed it by trying to make a laser tag thing. Oh well. His money I guess. As I understand it the gun just kinda broke and fell apart as time went on then he tried a laser tag thing with it. Maybe Newman can clear it up. And Don't worry, I AM going to add somethign cinstructive about the gun choice/recomendation. From what I've seen ICS is not nearly as good as TM. I, personally, would probably never buy an ICS but would consider a CA. In terms of which model I like all the MP5s its just whether you want a SD, a K type, what stock, etc. Hope that helped -Mike

Voss-don't say something unless you actually know what you're talking about. The ICS gun's lower receiver just cracked by itself one day, as did the tappet plate. I only used Excel bbs in that thing and stuck to 8.4V minis, never upgraded it, etc. The lasertag project was WAY after the fact.
