I mean, I remember some asshat (sorry, too sick of looking up dick posts to find out who) who SHOT NON-PLAYING CIVILIANS ON A PARK BENCH WITH A SNIPER RIFLE. I''m sure it's because it was a guy and a girl enjoying a moment together, and that the author is probably 12 and has never been with a girl, but shooting at people who are not playing and have no safety gear will KILL OUR SPORT.

Playing in public places such as a park will kill it just as quickly. Think, people.

Stuff like this really pisses me off. The worst part is that there parents are funding there stupidity, "ruining the $350 CA rifle my dad bought me..." I don't think he broke the gun but I do believe that his Dad bought it for him.

Uhm, rogue? You've been around here longer'n god. You > all. Except jacko. You just BARELY < jacko.
seriously tho, this shit pisses me off. Why do you all think I went for like 8-9 months w/out posting? All the idiots just totally turned me away from not only MiA, but airsoft in general. Most of my team STILL flat out refuses to check on MiA because of all the idiots. I'm tired of it, and it needs to change =p

I know when I am surfing posts I tend to look for certain members ID's because I know that 'usually' what they post will be informative and usefull.

Yeah. Imagine what it's like for those of us that have been here for a long time. I've been haunting this place since, what, 03? That's like forever. Most of the good people you see around now are the same as there were back then, but some have left. And the idiots have flooded us in the last couple years. It's an inner battle of mine on whether to educate them, or ban them. Ban them, and you risk them not being educated and going out and doing stupid stuff anyways, but then you have to put up with the bullshit AND spend the time to educate them.
meh, it'll all work out in the end. Survival of the fittest and all that.

I am new to this sport and let me tell you I searched all over the net for a good forum to join, since I am from michigan I chose this one. I think the older guys here have made some vary valid points and I agree with what has been said. I mayself am a noobie here this only my 10th post, but remember you were a kid once too. And unlike when most of us older gentalment when we were kids, we didn't have the internet like it is today. And kids just want to fit in, they come here and read stories about games that have been played and they want to be a part of that. So they try to impress with what they think we want to hear but being younger they are clueless and frustrated. They embellish things a bit and most of them tell little white lies, if you have kids you know what I am talking about I enjoy this forum and although I do not post a whole lot I do from time to time throw in my two cents.

And that's exactly what a forum is for - your two cents =D Toss em in whenever.
The point we're trying to make, moreso, is against people that really honestly just do stupid stuff. Playing in the backyard in the middle of the city, for example. Or the ones that shoot at people in a park. Less so against people that just cant spell or use grammar - there's a chap on my team, that if you talked to him IRL he'd blow you away with knowledge of his hobbies. But if you get him on a forum, he just cant spell =p There's really nothing wrong with that, so long as you can make out what he's trying to say... and normally the post is quite informative.
White lies are fine, too... not everything that's posted in a story needs to be 100% true. As long as it's not "OMFG I shootz0-r him at 235002 feet away with my EBB ak 47 in the face 16 times." We all embellish the actual facts, if it makes for a better story.

By looking at your post count, I'm going to assume that that's a serious question. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm in a pissy mood and want to rant anyways =p This forum, originally, was for the semi-serious and hardcore crowd. Most of us were 18+, and honestly we all knew each other by face, from playing together. Lately (last year, two years?) this forum has turned from a great resource of cool people into some fucking kiddie ASP version of MiA. There's easily more meaningless posts than meaningful posts on this forum. Now, I understand the need for information, and that's what this board is for. However, 90% of the newbies here are FUCKING MORONS. If someone can't formulate a full sentence, or even get their ideas across, then they should be instantly banned by some all-seeing god power of forum moderation. Tales of Valor has simply been the area where this is most prevalent. Look at some of the stories that Xaos has posted, or Munin, or Motown. THOSE are Tales of Valor. Not this bullshit that looks like some fucking 8th grader wrote it. Coming from me, this is SOOO hypocritical. I used to say "omigod love the newbies, hug the newbies, they're the future of the sport!". Now, if they're the future of the sport... I weep for our future =p /end rant this is going to sound wierd from me, but that is a great idea. i came to this site expecting serious airsofters, yet i find that most of the posts are completely pointless and stupid. someone needs to clean this site up.

I also agree with this post even though I am a noob. I aim to tell the truth even if it is embarassing like my first battle; I got nailed in the forehead by someone. I think it was a M4 that got me but I don't feel like people should post things that are outrageous like what you all are saying.
