8 am. the feild was ablaze with automatic gun fire....
The battle took place in a massive revene about 1 mile across. on one side above the revene where the ground came to meet sea leval their was a large pine forest. The trees where tall and dry from the heat of summer and its branches hung low to about 1 ft off the ground. ON the other side the revene came up to a dense patch of large dirt mounds each about 11 ft tall.
their was no theme to this game other than search and distroy. their where about 5 on each team, 4 of us had A.E.Gs. others had minies and or springers.
The battle had started at 8 the last night, when no one died we just keept going. the hits where 2 vitals, " in the head chest back or neck," and 2 anywhere hits. most of us where down 2 one vital.
my team was pinned down in the revene, we took cover in the tall knife grass which was about 2 ft tall, and wet with the morning due. the sun was just rising. we all knew after a very hard night of fierce fire fighting it couldent last much longer.
within the next 30 seconds the man next to me was hit and out. and the man farthest to my right was also killed with 5 hard hits. The enemy was dug in very well and in good condition. We where pinned down bad. when the 3rd man of out squad got downed melvin decided it was time to end it.
He charged the enemy with 2 minies on full auto. under extreamally heavy fire he ran up to the dirt mounds where the enemy was hunkered down. He ran up a dirt mound and dove off sideways, minies blazing. it was a site to behold, in those few seconds he downed all 4 of the enemy while in the air, making a smooth landing on the side of another dirt mound.
