Well I would wait and get the bolt for it, when it comes out. Then just practice hard with it, are you planning to go into the Marine Scout Snipers?

<{LCAR}>Echo -Yeah more than likely that's what I'm going to be doing, not to brag but I'm an excellent marksman, but do to an injury from biking to my arm, I'm not as still as before, but still pretty damn close. Thanks for the advice, I'll be sure to pick one up as soon as they come out!

Hey man no problem. And good luck with the Snipers. I think there's only a 50% graduation rate, most of the dropouts/failures, happen in the "stalking" stage.

And he is only 15... Talk to a sniper before you wan't to be one. I've talked to 3 snipers who have been in Iraq, (first and second Iraq war) and they said it was pretty danm boring.

I would set a lower goal than that coming in, not to discourage but you can't just join as a sniper. Thats one of the right place at the right time type of a deals. Being you are infantry of course. And being the Army Recruiter I am, I'm going to tell you its a whole hell of a lot easier to do what you want in the Army......being its 1 million strong and the Marine Corps is about a quarter that. He's right though, talk to somebody who has done it, I guarantee its nothing like you think. None of the Tom Berringer trips to South America, as much as people will tell you they've done that kind of crap.
If you have a question in particular about the Corps, post it and I'll walk next door and ask Gunny about it so you can know real answers.

Well, yeah I agree with that and I don't plan on immediately getting to be a sniper, these things take time, and practice, so more than likely I'll be in Infantry before I become a sniper.Yeah I'd like to talk to one, does anyone know a sniper that I could talk to?

I know someone also that has been to Iraq as a sniper, he is going on his second tour of duty in about 3 months. But he said there's was some pretty gritty shit there, not exactly what he did. But what he saw, he also told me that when he first got there, they told them exactly this. "If you see one of those bastards using a women as cover, blow right threw the bitch and blow him away too." I guess the reason being, when the Iraq guard was getting desperate, they would use women and children as "cover". Because they knew the U.S's policy of no civilian casualty's. That must of been hard being the soldier on the other end of the gun, shooting an innocent mother of 5. Just so he could save 5 of his comrades from a road side bomb. But I guess that's something you have to think about before joining the military.

Well since this is way off topic, with what echo said about the policy on shooting women I find some problem with it moraly but I look at it as if the bastered is going to do that and the women aren't smart enough to get out of the area then its just natrual selection at work.
Just so if people ask I can say that I know I would have no problem pulling the triger because you can't say it untill it happens, however I would do my dutie and everything I could to help my comrades if I was put in that situation.

Amen to that, but a lot of what happend in Desert Storm. A lot of soldiers came back all screwed up, a lot of what Jarhead portrays at the end is very well detailed.

If you really think about we're all alittle screwed in the head. I mean we go out and shoot eachother with plastic BB's. I am in no way saying its a bad thing I'm just saying we have to be a little messed up to be in this sport. But I'm glad I'm not alone in my addiction.

Okay, this is going to be the last off topic post.
My Mom always say's i'm obsessed with guns and "killing" people. And the only reasoning behind this, is because i'm intrested in History, mainly WWII and the Vietnam war. And that I play airsoft. I think this is crazy, but oh well people can have their opinions.
Please keep all the rest of the posts, in topic with the title. I don't want this to get locked.
