I was getting ready to buy an M24 from WGC and have noticed they have 2 - one from Japan and one from HK. Which one are most folks purchasing? Anyone know anything about quality of HK version or who builds it (is it still PDI?). P.S. - I'm still trapped in dbase training. Extraction team must be delayed. Believe transmissions monitored. Must sign off now, locals are coming. Must close hole in firewall before captured!

I was wondering the same thing. The price difference between the Japanese and HK versions is pretty hefty, so I'm wondering if there are any quality issues.
I've always liked the look of the gun too, but thought it was a bit out of reach price wise. Now though it's tough to decide between the M24 and the APS2-SV.
More people tend to go with the APS2 route, from what I've heard it's easier to maintain than the M24. But the looks of the M24 just wins me over without any contest.
If I have any time tonight I'll look around some airsoft forums to find some answers.

You would be surprised about how Airsoft guns are made. For example, if you look at the design of springers you will realise that almost all of them have interchangable parts (within the model). TM M-9 springer parts are totally interchangable with UHC M-9's. The only difference is that TM parts are better.
I think this same point is applicable to the M24. The two guns design is prolly the same, but the parts on the HK are cheaper and might wear down easier, it's most likely lighter too. I wouldn't sacrifice quality because I know that if you buy a quality weapon, it will last for a long time. I never want to worry about my gun on the field.

Aye, Pika's APS2-SV is really nice. He even offered to sell the beast to me, but I didn't have enough cash at the time. Still I prefer the look of the M24. It just looks more menacing to me. Price range between the two guns is only about $10 (M24 HK version that is) so I might as well go for something that appeals to me more, eh? Now if only I had the extra money. evil blood sucking lawyers bah!

I can't really tell you what the offer was. I'm sure Pika didn't have a set price, really depends on who wanted to buy it I'm sure. But with the internal upgrades and new stock you can bet it won't be cheap. Edit: Check out the Airsoft Zone arms deals. He's selling it for $700.
