Anyone know if the TM M8000 Cougar G has hop up? If so I found me the spring gun I’m gonna be using as back up this winter.

I've always liked the look of that gun. Maybe one day I'll get me the WA GBB version. Anyway, back to what ye asked. I bought Ballista's Marui G17 springer from this guy a while ago and I don't think his came with hop up. Though for not having hop up the gun is pretty accurate, while also packing a nice little punch. You might want to ask about the orange paint, because Ballista's G17 was a pain in the booty to get off. In fact there's still orange on it even after MANY attempts of removal. Price is pretty average for a marui springer so I dont think you'll be saving too much there. *shrugs*...I'd go for one of them new dandy MK23 Socoms or even a Combat Delta Electric Blowback.

One of my friends has the M8000, I have seen it and I am impressed. His version has a hop-up and it goes VERY far. It's also very realistic and heavy. I know that you can get TM springers without hop-ups so you might want to make sure your version has it before ordering.
EBB? From what I've heard they don't even shoot as far as springers. A Redwolf review said that they have about 100 shots before the batteries die.

I've heard the exact same thing. I want to buy one of those Berretas, but I can't afford to buy 4 new AA batteries each time they die. I could buy some rechargables, but I'd need at least 8 and they're not cheap Newman is poor. By the way, I just spent $23 for a new mini battery...Yay!!

Where'd ye get that mini from Newman?
*me wonders if they have custom SD6 batteries for cheap*
All this springer talk is making me want to buy one too. eh...naah nevermind, methinks I'm done with Springers.

Done with springers?
You can NEVER be done with springers!
Well...maybe, but I still think the best games are with springers.
I need to show up to one of your skirmishes and show you guys how a springer game is really played.

ive found that it is very easy to get muzzle kills with springers. in springer duels you are probly better off hitting him over the head with yer gun. chances are that he cant shoot you many times while you run up brandishing your beretta/glock/rat-flail/whatever as a club...

I think that you have to practice with your springer. Duels can be really fun especially N.R. (see "springer games"). Spring games take some skill.

Today I went with my dad to check out the 12 Oaks mall for the first time! Well on our way we decided to check out Galyors or whatever. My dad pronounced it Gaylords as we drove into the parking lot, tis was funny!
Anyway upstairs they have their firearms center. I saw the .45 cal version of the Cougar. It looks identical to the 9mm but has a beefier barrel and a longer thicker grip (dah its a .45) I sat there and drooled at the sight getting every angel I could with it behind the glass.
Sexy!

I just got a new issue of Guns and Ammo and I saw that they are making new Cougar with the .357 Sig cartrage. It's the Beretta M8357. They say it has the stopping power close to the .45 with the velocity of the 9mm para.
