About the TM USP 40, since i'm new to airsoft, would it be worth it to get a springer to start out with, or should i just save a bit more and get a gas blowback. Options?

I would say GBB all the way it isn't that much more expensive but shooting semi-auto is a must in my view unless your going to be a sniper.

Springers are a lot of fun and it’s always been my rule of thumb that every arsenal should have one. It may be a wise decision to see what the people in your area think about springers and base your opinion on that sense they are most likely the people you will be playing with the most. While I love springer games the people I play with on a regular bases don’t all have springers so my cougar just sits collecting dust, 45 bucks that I could of spend on something else.
If your wanting a TM springer look at the cost of them, they are not cheap. If you want to get one I would recommend looking at UHC, they make pretty good springers and they are cheap, usually no more then 20 bucks.

A springer is always good to start out with. I still play spring games with my friends, mostly because we dont have some shallow pockets , if you know what i mean. Springers are fun and eaiser to find and afford. They also require a whole lot less mantinentce. Its good to get familar with a spring gun before you find youself knees deep in parts of your AEG. Spring guns are more expendable, i have been through quite a few spring pistols. My friends and i have decided that a GBB would blow all of our springs out of the water, so we dont allow them unless we can have my Nam Vet Dad play on our team. ;D , and he never loses.

Sure GBB has all the power you may ever need but you gotta deal with all the gas. You don't wanna have to refill the gas in a battle and you cant use it in the cold. Springers are just as cool. The other day I beat my friend he had a fully auto M4 and I had my M9 Srpinger. I killed him in 2 shots. Its all how you use the gun. GBB have more parts to deal with too.

Thanks though unfortunately i now already have a GBB, but i am still planning on buying a springer. When my friends and i play and some more people join (mainly friends brother) we find ourselfs short a gun and with an unhappy camper too. Jakob I like your "belief" if you will, that its how you use the gun, those are good words of wisdom. Heck, now im inspired, im gonna get a springer!! ;D
