When you start to aquire more equipment (as I do) I think that people tend to forget that you can have lots of fun with cheaper guns. I think the most enjoyable airsoft games that I have played have been springers-only.
GASP! Springers? Yes, although pumping out round after round with your AEG might seem fun, try playing an outdoor springer scenario with 18 people!
Maybe when we organize a game in Michigan we can play a few springers-only rounds. You will be surprised!

Yea, when I lived in Arizona and before all my friends had their aegs and GBBS we all had springers. It was tons of fun to run around the desert with springers. We did everything from hostage rescue to quick draws I have nothing else to say. I agree its a lot of fun and we will have to do some of them!

Springer games are always fun! Back when I still lived in Europe we had springer games right in town. Sure its a stupid thing to do, but back then I didn't care Just yesterday when Ballista and I had our 1-on-1 game we plinked around with our springers too. Its a strange feeling now after shooting GBB's for a while, and the bb's don't really end up going where I'd like them too. Sheesh, I almost had to aim at the ground just to compensate for the evil non existant hop-up so that I could hit chest height targets in front of me. love the sound though! POOk!

Haha, your springer doesn’t have hop up? My UHC DE has fixed hop up, surprisingly its pretty dang accurate for being a 15-dollar piece of junk!

I got my springer in July, I'd only played once against my friend, and I went out and spent my saving for an AEG. That's my life...spending $300 after waiting 3 years to get into Airsoft! Damn paintball! Life story follows:
Three years ago, I tried to get into Airsoft People said it was illegal I had to get into paintball, they aren't soft No playing with a Desert Eagle
Only a stupid Model 98 to tide me over Until I bought an Autococker Because of a lucky $300 pushover No gun like a Shocker
I sold my paintball stuff It was worth four hundred bucks I wasn't really buff Sorry poor schmucks
USP is my pistol MP5 is my subgun Airsoft makes me bristle It is really fun
Now I have no life I am consumed every day By a neverending amount of strife Airsoft I gotta play!
Boy, that was fun. We are doing poetry in English class, I'm one of two boys in my class out of 26 (woohoo, and the other guy is a nerd too!). The gurlz all love my poetry skillz, the one above is a joke by the way. Dost though not laugh? (that's from Romeo & Juliet, I'm Romeo in class, I can't wait till the kissing scene *14 year-old alert*)

Yeah, it looks like everybody has a good springer story. I admit to playing some "questionable" springer games (in the middle of a residential street in the middle of the night, even in the middle of a commertial parking lot).
What the greatest springer game I have played is "Neighborhood rules" inspired from the Movie "The Art of War." The game is really fun. It consists of two players about 20 feet away from each other, with no cover in-between. At the beginning of the game, the players have their spring pistols behind thier backs touching thier belts. The judge calls "go" and the players must cock thier guns and begin playing, although you might think that the game would be short, games accually end because of the players running out of ammo.
Because of the poor accuracy and rate of fire, each player is put on the same level. After some time the players begin to get better and start dodging the bbs. Late one night me and my friends played a "Neighborhood Rules" tournament, it was definetly the best 2 hours of airsoft I have ever played in my life.
I hope we can maybe play during one of our michigan games.

Doh, well the box says "HOP-UP" right on it, but I swear its just some evil marketing scam. .12's send bbs flying way up high into the air, and .20's go zooming down towards the ground. I'll have to fiddle around with the gun or something...It used to shoot fine, I was dead accurate with it too, I could hit a bb on the ground no problem from a fair distance. Now I'm lucky if I hit a tree.

You could always just go out and buy another spring gun, but that spirit is how I got a collection as big as mine.

Springer games are fun, since they can be played about anywhere. Sometimes between games we have duels, and springers are nice choices. Ive got like 4 or something, but I wouldnt play for more than a couple springer games. It just gets plain obnoxious. However, other players do have to within view to shoot you with one, so it adds some more sneaking to the game. Like night games- perfect for sneaking around. They work your m@d skillz.

I agree, once it starts getting dark, springer games are the best.
It's nice that my thread was moved, now more people can read it.

I have a good Springer game story, even tho i still play springer... Any ways
My 5 friends and i were looking for a good place to play, then we found this old abandond builders square. So at like midnight we go up there and find that all of the glass doors are locked tight. So we go round back and find the caged area where they kept the plants, we bended the bars (this took all 6 of us) and we got it. But Damnit there were more locked doors, So i take the butt of my trusty G3A3 and busted the whole fucking door in half(with some help of my foot). Then we play/ have fun. Until the cops come... We then book it as fast as we can and drop some smoke bombs behind so the cops get lost. Airsofters-1 Cops-0 .
