What are the laws on carrying/transporting an airsoft gun in michigan? I used to come to this site a few months ago before winter arrived and I thought I'd check back. Its been so long I forgot what my name was on here ;D
The main question is since I am 17, can I legally transport one in the trunk of my car in a gun case? Or would the cops have a FIT!

Im sixteen and they have no problem its just that if you get pulled over make sure you tell them right away that it is an airsoft gun that way they wont have a fit.

If u just want to walk down the street to your friends house, just put it in a duffel bag cuz a neibor could complain and the cops could take it.
P.S. This suggestion was given to me by the police

Well customs may sieze your gun if it comes in from tokyo no mater where you order it from. Secondly as far as i know i dont hink airsoft is really illegal, or it is and no one inforces it. Thirdly if you order a gun strait from tokyo its gana cost you an additional 100 bucks or so for customs fees so i suggest you get it through Combat Depot or Wolverine Tactical Supply

I'm just gonna say this once more, and make it huge and bold so people will get the point.
AIRSOFT IS LEGAL IN MICHIGAN. YOU CAN IMPORT GUNS AS LONG AS THEY HAVE AN ORANGE TIP AND COVERED TRADEMARKS.*
* = So long as they're legal in your township/city. Check with local law enforcement, your mileage may vary, please pull ahead to the second window.

Well customs may sieze your gun if it comes in from tokyo no mater where you order it from. This is correct. It may happen to you. This is incorrect or correct depending on your local ordinances. You are incorrect. An AEG can cost you around 50-70 dollars, depending on weight, to be shipped to your door from Japan. Some weigh less, some weigh more.

Probably, yeah. My G36c (Which is a heavy gun for the size) cost me $63, I think. Out of the four guns that I, Q, and Snip have ordered, most were in that range I stated. Though, I think we've all ordered exclusively from WGC too, so maybe that could be a factor in a difference.

Christ...It's a wonder nobody has called PETA for all these dead horses we've beaten.
Don't forget when it's getting shipped from Asia, and with any package, they calculate postage by weight, and the size of the box. Depending how oversize it is, it will cost ya that much extra.

You are not the one transporting it under those circumstances. Though if you were old enough to drive you still could as the law classifies them as toys/replicas really depends on how you look at it.
I haven't heard of anyones personal shipment in this area being seized, but anything could happen.

not so much, some cites say you as the consumer are supposed to check if it is legal or not in your area before you order, because they will ship it anyway
