I'm looking to buy my first plate carrier, and I really like the JPC style rig. I've been looking for a good replica at an affordable price and I've come across several that I'm interested in, mainly the Flyye JPC, Semapo NJPC, and the Avengers/Emerson JPC. I'm leaning towards either the Flyye JPC or the NJPC, but I'm still not sure. What do you guys recommend?
And on a side note, Is 6 mags too much for a JPC? Does it defeat the purpose of a lightweight rig? I was looking into getting one of the triple blue force elastic mag pouches to go with it, but I wasn't sure if the extra weight would be desirable.
Thanks.

I can't help much with your first question, but I can with this ^ one. I run six mags in a fairly lightweight rig, the Minimalist PC from GGG. I haven't had any issues with it. As long as you set it up right, it will be fine.

Check out my youtube channel. I did a comparison review of crye, flyye and semapo.

You have a link to that video, CJA? I'd love to see it.

I really like both the Flyye and the NJPC, so as of right now it really comes down to the cost. According to Semapo's website the NJPC normally costs $219 but its on sale for $179. I'm not sure of the price of the Flyye JPC, as most every site I've checked has had a different figure listed. Or is there some third-party vendor you guys would recommend?

If you're going by cost, shootercb sells them for about $150ish. But you can't beat semapos shipping. From shooter it'll take a little more than a week most likely. But theirs always the ModI JPC...

Just gonna toss this out there, a Crye JPC can be acquired on a several different Facebook groups for around $220.

Yeah, if you want a JPC in a color or pattern that Crye sells commercially, and not specifically an NJPC, I don't see a reason to buy the Semapo. You can get a Crye JPC for $250 retail and less used. Might as well buy the real thing.

Yeah, that's the issue I have with most of the decent replica JPCs (i.e. Semapo, Flyye). They're all nearly as much as the real deal. The MODI though is a pretty good little replica and runs like $60 before shipping...

I agree you can't beat Crye unless it's too far out of your price range. My number 2 would be Semapo. As for the price they can be had for cheaper via Ebay and simply watching Semapos price changes. I bought mine the day it released for $145. The only problem with Semapos is that it only comes in size L. Flyyes JPC is not as close a replica but is made in every size and color and only cost roughly $150 for MC with MC webbing. every other color option is cheaper.

I hadn't even heard of the MODI rig, $60 that's definitely something for a cheapskate like me to consider.
Right now I'm looking into getting either the khaki or the multicam version. Currently my squad runs M81 woodland with tan gear, but we will soon be making the switch to multicam. Basically everyone else on my squad has a khaki rig, so for the sake of uniformity do you think I should as well? Or do you think I should go to multicam?
Thanks again for all the answers.

Coyote brown. It's cheap and it seems like it matches with everything.

Go with Multicam. It looks good over woodland and great over Multicam. CB isn't a bad alternative, but don't do khaki. Crye doesn't make a JPC in khaki, getting a repro in khaki just ain't right.
