I'll start off with the, my negatives, about the facility because I know that a member on here is also a Admin at the facility. Mods if you can recall whom point him this way please, I think it was hunt(numbers here).
The Bad: From greatest to lease. The facility is small! That being said it was also not fully utilized. I can recall that in many games the office and the hallway leading to it when't unused as well did a few classrooms a little father down. Spawns not utilized often. Many games it ended up you had a set amount of lives and after that you were done, time to go back to staging. Many of you might say well you shouldn't get hit, but seeing as everything counts as a hit it's sort of hard with 60+ people not to. The above being mentioned is the ricochet rule is insane. I understand that its possible in real life for bullets to bounce off of many surfaces, but in a CQB facility with 60+ people the ricochet rule should, in my opinion, be tossed. Chrono wasn't a big deal at all. They did have an ammo can and they would feed your mag with bbs inside said can. However they only had 1 station going even though they had three chronographs and a testing range not to far off either. Something minor that I can glance over.
The Good: From lease to greatest. Everything was marked out so you knew what you could or couldn't do within said area. That being said I wished they had marked locked doors in classrooms for our team wouldn't spend more time running around checking locked doors. The objective gameplay in which people actually tried for the objective was good. It felt like a good change from the gameplay I'm used to at Kalamazoo Airsoft. The staff were fast acting! At one point in game when a players gear snagged the fire alarm and pulled it, the staff were quick to react. Thankfully no fire department was called or anything (I guess you could call that bad too...) One thing that was a little problem was that they had misplaced the reset key.
Overall I had a great time at the facility. I may go back again with another Kalamazoo Crew, but when I don't know. If you haven't gone I would attempt to make it up there within the next six months before they close for the season.

I had a great time there.
My only rants are the no go gameplay on the stairwells and that you can spawn on the stairwells. There should only be two spawns, say one on the south side bottom floor and one on the north side top floor. Having all stairwells be spawns is really a nuisance. The no gameplay is understandable because of there insurance, but this really can be severely neglected combined with the spawning on the staircases.
Oh, and maybe make it a little bit more dark!
That's about all I can think of off the top of my head.
Anyway, here is some awesome gameplay I got, I will post my extended gameplay version when it is done uploading
Extended gameplay:
Thanks!

First off This place looks amazing and I wish I hade called in sick to attend the grand opening. Second, Elvis good god man! Watch the over shooting. Several times in the first video you would sweep an entire room shooting everyone regardless if live or dead. Just slow down and I.D. your targets next time.

Just slow down and I.D. your targets next time. I am aware there are some instances in the video(s) where I shoot people that are dead. It is generally because they are not showing any signs of being hit (raised hand, kill rag, etc) or they happen to be in the way. However, I do make mistakes from time to time and I have been trying to work on identifying my targets better. Thank you for your input

I'm glad everyone had a great day. I also want say a huge thanks to everyone as things went quite well for opening at a brand new facility. Both the help from the staff and all the players. Now after going over the Staff After Action Review and the Reviews from Players for our Opening Day at the Nims Facility we are going to make the following changes : 1. Ricochets will no longer count as hits! We will give players the discretion to decide if a hit is a true shot or a ricochet! 2. Depending on the numbers of players who attend, We will institute a group rotation system. If we have 60 or above we will have a 3 group rotation system. This will mean you will play two games and have one off if we use this system. 3. We are currently looking to have a local food vendor come to our site to provide food and drink for those of you who wish to stay on site for lunch. 4. We will be looking at more capacity in the area of Port A Potty and better ones too ! 5. We will be working on vendors to provided BB's on site as well 6. We will be allowing limited use of Tornado impact grenades with BB's and Thunder B's grenades with BB's. Limits will be a set number per team, per scenarios based on player numbers on that game day! 7. All HPA guns will Chrono on joules with the BBs the player will be using on game day. All HPA guns no matter the BB weight must be below 1.13 joules ! These changes are in direct response to the issues and concerns from all of you , the players. If you can think of anything else to improve our play, let us know. We want you to know that we value your input and will use it to constantly improve play to benefit all players at the facility. West Michigan Airsoft is for airsoft players because it is run by airsoft players ! There a quite a few pics that have gone up on our facebook page from the event. A good portion of them are here, NIMS CQB

Beast,
Just from watching the videos above, it looks like you could use a good system for dead men to get out of the way of the action? What about asking players to move out from behind cover and sit or lay on the ground? Like CJA, I saw a lot of dead guys getting hit, but I also saw a lot of living guys struggling to maneuver around all of the dead guys. If the dead guys get their bodies out of the way, both by dropping down and moving away from cover, it should open up proper lanes of fire for the players still in the game.

If the dead guys get their bodies out of the way, both by dropping down and moving away from cover, it should open up proper lanes of fire for the players still in the game. Knief, we were a little disappointed in the amount of players who showed up with out a red dead rag. We bring a bag of red shop rags for those few who forget or lose one on the field, but when over half the players fail to bring their own, our extras went quickly. Also players who are dead need to have a little bit of situational awareness. When dead you don't just pop out of a door or around a blind corner without announcing that a dead man is coming out, and if there is a fire fight going on, don't just walk out into it. And if you are hit in the middle of a fire fight players need to either get down and out of the way or quickly move out of the line of fire. Now with that being said, players also need to slow their shooting down a bit and ID targets before blasting away. Way to many players have the tendency to shoot at the first thing that moves, which is why as a ref walking around in a bright red and reflective safety vest, I still got shot several times from players. EDIT: It looks like a lot of Elvis' footage is from a game we call Chaos. Where each player starts as their own team and as they kill other players and tap them, they then join up on the same team, until every player is on the same team. Once dead, players kneel for 60 seconds or until a player can reach them to tag them. This makes the game quite chaotic at times.
