I'm either dumb, or this SCAR is straight from satan's lair. I'm having trouble with the air nozzle seating properly in my Dboy's SCAR-H. Every time I put the gearbox and gun back together, the nozzle is in the right position. However, after the first shot, it will not return to the correct position. Picture #1: shows what I mean by it being seated properly on first install. Picture #2: shows what I mean by it NOT being seated properly after the first shot. Picture #3: shows what it looks like when NOT seated properly while put together. (I.E. It should be forward of that plastic nub, preventing bb's from moving into the hop-up chamber before the tappet plate pulls back the nozzle) Picture #4: shows the rest of the gearbox in the hopes that someone sees something I'm not. Once the nozzle is improperly seated, each subsequent shot will move the nozzle forward, and then it will return to the improper spot. There are no burs in the gearbox that would prevent the nozzle from moving all the way forward to its proper spot, the tappet plate spring works, etc. I am at a loss as to what is going on. I've taken the damn thing apart 5 times now and just want to fix it.

Is it affecting the performance or shot consistencey any? Double feeding, bbs rolling out etc?
One possibility is there is a slight bit of overspin, and partially precocking it to the point of where the nozzle is open for feeding.
I would try popping the sector chip off and see where that leads. The sector chip helps to prolong the length of time which the nozzle is back. Even the slightest bit of over spin can cause it to be all the way back.
But in all honesty, a lot of my guns essentially work in an "open bolt" sense with the nozzle placement.
Unless I'm missing your point completely.
Is it that the nozzle goes all the way back, and never returns?
Edit: Possibly look at the screw that holds the clear block in place, make sure it isn't too long, and nicking the nozzle or catching it some how.

Every shot a BB simply rolls out the barrel. The air nozzle isn't moving forward enough to actually create an air seal between the bb and the hop-up. Aka, it seems that the tappet plate isn't returning to the front of the gearbox/its most forward position.
How would I check to see if there is overspin?
It isn't that bottom screw. Thats the stock screw that came with the gun.

Don't think it's over spin in that sense. If bbs are rolling out, there is friction with the nozzle. My bet would be the clear plastic block might not be sitting right?
Is the nozzle new by any chance? Does to move with little effort on the cylinder head? If its too tight, it can cause this. I don't think it's that(especially if its all stock) but its something to check. Might need a fan of silicon oil for it to slide smoothly.
Trying to think of any other possibilities.

The nozzle is new. Its what I was replacing. I'll try and lube it up and see what happens.

Double post for update.
It works. I swear its the easiest fixes that are the most frustrating.

Ok I just saw this thread. My Dboys SCAR H also has this problem. Horrible feeding, double feeding, and awful compression. It has the stock nozzle (well lubed) and I think my problem lies in the hop up. I replaced the bucking, which I think caused the problem.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that the gearbox has great compression, which is why I blame the hop up.
