OK so I just bought the KAC style G&P rail kit from evike. When I opened it up and tried to install it I noticed they aren't even close to fitting! I have a standard M4A1 outer barrel from TM. Anyone have any idea why the rails are way too long? I'd hate to spend more money if there's an easy fix. Thank you in advance for any and all help.

If I remember (bare with me as it's been a while) correctly TM and G&P front end setups differ in sizings. I believe the TM delta ring isn't as deep as the G&P's so the rail doesn't sit inside of it enough along with the front site post being further forward a tad. I don't think I've ever really got the two to match up so I always replaced the TM with a full G&P front-end set like this to be 100% sure. Depending on how you want to tackle it you could most likely modify the TM to fit, but I'd probably just advise getting a G&P outer barrel setup to go with it instead.

Thanks for the response. That's exactly the same issues in running into. Unfortunately I just shelled out quite a bit for what I have, and sadly can't afford the complete G&P front end. I might try buying the G&P ring and cap, then machining if need be from there. It helps that I work at a machine shop. I just REALLY wanted to avoid spending more money. I'm already hearing it from the wife haha.

This might work. It comes with everything you need, is cheap and would fit the G&P handguard. I've bought a few of these over the years to throw onto different G&P uppers.

Thanks for the link. I was literally just looking at that. Unfortunately I really don't have any cash until somebody buys my stuff.
