Hello MIA. I am looking into getting into airsoft again. I have some money set aside for a "budget" load out. I mostly will be playing CQB and minor field. MilSim is not something that I will have the time for so those factors will not impact me.
I am set on getting a gun that takes STANAG magazines, so AK/G3/UMP/ and such are out of the question. I also do not want to have to fit a magwell adapter like on a G36/P90. My initial plan was to get the G&G CM GBB with 5 gas mags, however, I was reading reviews that it was a lower quality GBB. So I am going the AEG route. I have a few gift cards for Amazon so it must be sold on there.
Current plan: KRYTAC Trident CRB Elite Force Mid caps (10 pack) 2 11.1 20c LiPo
I am interested if the KRYTAC is worth the price or if I should just go with the reliable KWA? Since the KRYTAC has a mosfet already, it should (in theory) handle a LiPo on semi-auto out of the box?
Thanks

While a fet is highly reccomended for lipos, you can drop down to a 7.4 and be fine. I run 7.4s in my guns with very few issues. That opens up a far larger array of guns for you to choose from.

In theory the fet should allow for lipo use, but from what I have heard and my research, it's not the best of fets.
I would recommend finding a model that you like it's externals, and then just spend a little more on a basic fet and install that.
Krytac has good externals, and the internals are ok from what I have heard.
In my opinion, I'm not a big fan of KWA for various reasons. Sure they are known for being reliable, but they don't have MOSFETs, among other internal things that I find displeasing.
But I personally would look around at some G&Ps. If I buy a gun, I would make the initial buy for the externals, because internal upgrades are pretty cheap.
