Generally i'll run it at 1080p at 30fps. If I'm playing in a more open or well lit area/field I may bump it to 60fps at 720p to save space on the card. Can't it do 1080p at 60FPS? Why wouldn't you do that? |

It can. However, it takes up far more memory on the SD card and does not allow as much light into the lens because the frame rate is higher. Normally I am playing in darker woods or indoors at CQB locations so I want as much light as possible entering the lens for a brighter image. Shooting at 60fps vs. 30ish requires 2x or more the amount of light to achieve the same brightness levels. I can always brighten it in post but that creates image noise. The slower frame rate allows for a brighter image which in a lot of cases, translates into a clearer image. Just because something can do something doesn't mean it should be done. For instance, even though it is capable of it, I would never run it on 720p at 120fps unless I was going to be doing some extreme slow mo shots.
