For the time being, we have moved the commerce section to the moderator area to appease the Proboards gods. All of the information is still there. We understand that many of you may have pending transactions and are relying on the information posted in the commerce section (paypal address, quoted price, etc.). Please PM me or one of the other admins or global moderators and we should be able to get you the information you need.

Simple solution: quit using ProBoards.
They use dated software, their mobile site is garbage, they now incorporate terrible pay features, have always had obnoxious policies that they reinterpret at will, are openly anti-airsoft now, from my experience modding on another board they treat their customers like complete sh*t, and there are plenty of FREE alternatives that are WAY better (and yes, many of them allow sell/buy/trade of airsoft, knives, and some even allow firearms).
F**k em'.
Post the link to the new forum in every major thread and use MiA as just an archive. You could even archive some of the extremely helpful threads and carry them over to the new forum. This will also fix all problems we've had because we don't have access to Hado's admin account. Look at it as an opportunity instead of a setback.
Just my two cents.
EDIT: This will also free up old usernames that are no longer in use. New players will be SIGNIFICANTLY more likely to read old threads before posting when there isn't 10 years worth of threads to dig through (90% of which are very forgettable).

That's pretty much my thought, Cats. I'm also hoping that we can get a site with a working calendar for posting games. The Proboards calendar is complete shit.

Though it's a good idea many of us, including myself, do not have FB accounts.

Yup, I am very anti facebook and will not migrate to it if that is your decision. Plus fb is not a forum anyways.

All I know is if anyone steals my username on the new board I'll stab em.
In all seriousness, proboards just got lame. I am willing to bet over half our traffic is in the commerce section. As long as the new board has an iOS app I'm in!

I'm all in for the a new place. We can rename this place Hadokenland and call the new one Kniefland. Or New-Hado, or something like that. As for losing stars, well that'll just be funny Coldwave. In all honesty, this scares me. Whose to say we won't be harassed at the new one at some point... I hope this doesn't further contribute to the "Death of MI Milsim", or death of MI Airsoft itself. (Dramatic, reminiscent music)

Save website data, dump proboards and migrate over to vbulletin

If we're taking votes... I'd like to keep this place as an archive. There's a lot of really really great info here, and I fear a lot of it would be lost in the transition. I'd like to keep proboards running simultaneously to ensure we always have a back up plan. I'm all for a new site though. If they're willing to throw 10 years of good business under the bus because someone got butt hurt then what's the point of sticking around?

I agree, keep this website as a archive, provide a obvouis link to the new forums, and move all important threads over. Also, I think we should take a poll and see what everyone would want to do

... The downside, of course, is that we'll almost certainly lose some members in the transition, and we'll certainly lose our archives of information. If we all make an effort to track down threads that we feel have been useful, we can make some copy/paste efforts to preserve as much as possible. If we do move, we will definitely lose a lot of history here, but now that I think about it, aside from the great archives of information (which can stay right where they are) it might not actually be that bad.. This place is different than what it was 6 or 7 years ago...

I have been wanting to set up a country wide airsoft second hand website. My plan was to pay a developer and do a big ol' rigmarole but for the time being I can set up a vBulletin.
I have two URLs that will point to it. Airsoft-Exchange.com and Airsoft.Exchange.
I'm not doing jack all today so I will try and get something set up. I will also look to see if its possible to export the posts from pro boards to vBulletin.
